A picture ID (such as a driver’s license) is required to redeem me. There are also fees like impound, board and license that must be paid before I can go home. If I am not claimed, after my stray holding period, I may be available for adoption on Sep 10, 2015. We are unable to respond to phone and e-mail inquiries concerning individual animals. Downey CA 1 Attachment(s) A4878652 Lilly is a good-natured twelve year old amber and cream spayed female Yorkshire Terrier who was forsaken at the Downey Shelter on September 17th because her former owners moved and were either too lazy or too callous to find a safe place for their pet. Weighing nine pounds, Lilly walks well on leash with a low energy level and is likely housebroken. She gets along well with other dogs and should be fine with children who are mature enough to understand that she is senior and to be gentle with her. She was turned in with a younger Yorkie that may have been her puppy who was recently adopted and we are hopeful that we can find Lilly a home as well.
