Sweet Scared Doggie in Utah
 

I rescued a small male Yorkie from a breeder about 9 months ago intending to keep him, but lost my job right after and could not afford to give him the care he needs. (getting him neutered and his teeth removed) The mother of a friend assured me that she would take care of him, I have seen other animals they have owned who were well taken care of and trusted little Bentley would be as well. About a week ago I heard some rumors that he wasn't being taken care of and last night I went to check on him.

He was in a horrible state! Matted all over his little body, ear mites, super long nails and just filthy. I brought him straight home shaved him, bathed him and cut his nails. Loving him while I cried the entire time. I am so angry!!!

She didn't do anything she agreed to do, and I know I failed him by not checking in, the stress from being unemployed has been a huge factor in my life.

Anyway, he needs someone to be careful, gentle and loving with him as he is very scared. He also still needs to be neutered and have his teeth removed.
I just can't do it without a job.

I agree about Yorkie Haven. They are a great organization and their dogs go into loving foster homes - not kennels.


I am so sorry about what you are going through. I can't imagine how painful it is to find your little one in such a horrible state. Thank God you rescued him again!
