Male Yorkie needs new home near Houston, TX 1 Attachment(s) Bogie is a 7 yr old Yorkie. He's handsome, sweet, smart, but territorial. He isn't a good fit for a home with small children. Bogie gets along with other small dogs, but has to warm up a little at first. Bogie has been my baby since he was just a few weeks old. I will be relocating soon for work and will continue traveling in my job. Bogie was fortunate to live with my mother over the last year, but having to board him weekly after I relocate, just won't be fair. He needs lots of warm love and interaction; he is very well taken care of, somewhat spoiled. I want to make that his new home can assure that this will continue. |
Please contact a reputable Yorkie Rescue as they will make SURE your baby goes to the rite home. They do home checks, Vet checks & have very stiff rules on returning the pup should it not be a good fit for them for any reason but not likely that will happen as they check potential adopters thoroughly. |
Make sure if you got him from a reputable breeder, that there is no stipulation in your contract that he needs to go back to the breeder..... |
He is adorable. As suggested...if he came from a reputable breeder and you can contact them, that should be done. If not, please be very, very careful where you place him. It is very important that you do a vet check on anyone interested. Sadly, there are many terribly irresponsible pet owners out there and you cannot tell by talking with them if they will treat your boy well. He isn't neutered. No contract, my aunt was the breeder. |
I would like to suggest that you have him neutered before he's rehomed as there are WAY to many unscrupulous people breeding these poor yorkies to near death & not knowing about congenital defects & such I'm sure you would not want to be responsible for passing along any bad traits if there are any. |

Handsome Boy! What exactly do you mean by "territorial"? Is he aggressive? How much does he weigh? Any other photos? Social Media is also a great place to network and get the word out. I am looking to adopt an adult Yorkie, but the personality is very important for me. Unfortunately, I am in DC and cannot see him in person! |
