Why is my Yorkie suddenly staring into my bathroom I rescued a Yorkie one year ago. She's 7 years old and was an owner surrender. I have never had a small dog before but she is very sweet. She used to sleep on my bed. Now, all of a sudden, she has started getting off the bed and is laying on the carpet staring into the bathroom and now sniffing all over the place in the bathroom Is this common behavior? |
Is she trying to figure out why you can go potty in there and she can't? My PeekABoo lifts his leg on the toilet! |
You know dogs can see ghosts....you say she was an owner surrender....do you have any idea why the owner surrendered her? Was the owner ill? Maybe she has passed and is coming to check on her little dog.......? My brother had a very similar experience happen to him several years ago......he will not even allow me to talk about it! |
Is it possible you have a mouse ? This story is all too familiar to me as yrs ago I had a pup that did the exact same thing & it turned out that their was a tiny mouse that entered through the wall where the sink pipe came through. |
No. She loves to go outside to pee |
I think she died and the children didn't want her. I also believe that she was abused and kicked around by a male. I'm trying to get her used to my adult sons when they come over. |
I thought of that. I even pulled the covers off my garden tub and under the sink, set two traps and some poison. That was last week and nothing. I had my house treated for termites approximately 7 years ago, she couldn't be smelling termites could she? |

It could be you have a mouse, termites in the floorboards, foundation, walls or just a soap in there she smells. Tibbe goes absolutely nuts over certain of my soaps! Funny thing is, my Jilly was a soap-nut also. |
