6 years old yorkie in need for a new home This is my first post in this forum. But I've been a reader ever since I got my yorkie Kanaan. So thanks ladies for all the help you provided me over the years :) Kanaan been with us for 6 years and we can't keep him anymore. We just moved to Saudi and we just can't work things out with him. So, as our last resort, we think it's better if we find him a new home with a family that loves and knows about dogs and can provide him with all the care he deserves. We don't want to find him a home here in Saudi because he will be miserable and neglected. We are ready to ship him to the States and cover all related expenses as long as we know someone will take care of him. So, if you know anything on how to do so. How I can find him a family and from where I can start then you will do me a huge favor. Kanaan is 6 years old male, neutered, pure bred yorkie. He is a sweet, playful, obedient dog who enjoys people's company. He is not used to other pets and kids but would never harm them. Love to snuggle and bed share. House trained, leash and crate trained. Healthy and all his vaccines up to date. I'm confident that his future family will not regret having him. And that's why I want to find him the best home he can get. So, Please ladies help on my quest on finding him a new home. Here are links to some of his photos: imgur: the simple image sharer imgur: the simple image sharer imgur: the simple image sharer |
Awww, he is so cute - those ears! Please be aware that if you're posting in this section, the price for him may be no more than $300; if you're wanting more than this, then you must post in the Yorkies For Sale section. I wish you could keep him, he looks so happy. If you do rehome him to the States, I would *not* ship him via plane cargo under any circumstances...that would put him in such danger. For that long of a flight, you'd want him to fly in the cabin, w/ a person. :) |
If I need to put a price tag then it would be $1. I honestly care only about finding him a good home. I too wish I could keep him but I really can't :(. What kind of danger? I'm now really worried. I don't think he would fit into the cabin crate size requirements. |
Oh my goodness! What a cutie! I'll ask some of my friends if there is an interest. But like Ann said, make sure the flight is doable for him. He is a doll! |
He is super adorable. Cargo is not climate controlled. Cargo is not handled well either. He would be going though so many stops and the chances of him being lost or becoming ill are so great. I'm not sure if you could hire someone to travel with him or if the airline could supply someone to transport him for you but don't put him in cargo if you value his life. Many pets are lost or die yearly due to airline carelessness. I know you want a good home for him but can you afford to pay what it will take to have him properly transported to the states? |
Thanks, BabyGirl Rosie, that would be great :) Gracielove, I will research more about shipping pets via cargo. It would be awesome if someone travel with him. But I know no one going to the States :( I think I can afford it. But even if it's way above my budget, I'll try to arrange the money for it. It's well worth it if he can have a life that's even better than what I've been providing him . |

He's a bit overweight right now (as you might have noticed in the pictures). He weighs around 15 pounds. He used to weigh 8 pounds before we came here as we had him on dry food diet only. But ever since we came here, he's been eating table food and not going out a lot. Thus the extra pounds. Also, he has cysts on his skin, which is caused by clogged oil ducts, according to the vet. He had fractured femur when he was a puppy. He had a surgery to fix it. It doesn't affect him in anyway. He can jump, run, play as any other normal dog. But thought you should know. Do let me know if you have any extra questions :D |
He is a cutie....hmmmm, I wonder if he likes snow??? |
This little guy looks so sweet ..I know this is breaking the op heart to give him up but she wants the best for her little guy |

It sounds like you definitely have the best intentions in mind. Just be careful about rehoming him without meeting his new owners. I would make sure to get several references to make sure he is going to a good family. |
He is very cute. I wish you luck in finding him a really good home. Please keep us posted. |
