This dog sounds like the sweetest dog ever. Just about everything Abby doesn't do, I'm still working to correct on my "terrible twins" (my two 6 month old Yorkies). Allen, you are in extremely good hands on this website; I'm so happy you joined. I'm sure the rescue gurus will find a wonderful home for Abby in short order. And - thank you for going to such lengths to take care of her, train her, keep her vet visits up, etc. during her time with you. Sounds like you've done everything right. Can't wait to hear about the fabulous home she is going to end up at. Darn, it is all I can do to restrain myself from jumping on a plane to Utah and attempting to talk you into letting me have her for my own.

Abby now in a new home

Just wanted to give everyone an update...

Thanks to LadyJane, I was able to find Abby a great home in Northern Utah. I delivered her to her new parents this evening, and Abby (who is normally very shy around new people) took an instant liking to the new folks.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Attached, by the way, is a picture (finally!) of Abby about an hour after we made the delivery.

Allen, I am so happy for you and Abby. You both have been in my thoughts and prayers. LadyJane--thanks for stepping in and facilitating this perfect ending. Abby is a real cutie and is now going to have an exciting new life. Allen- you are to be commended for recognizing that she needed more interaction than you had time to give her, and then being willing to do whatever it took to get her rehomed to an exciting new life. So happy to see Abby found her new forever home :) Great job by Allen for wanting the best for his little girl and making sure that she was put into the best hands, LadyJane- and LadyJane for working to find her happy new forever family. This reminds me of how we were truly blessed with our Tessie in 2009- when she was also 2 years old. It was a very hard decision for her original parents- but they also made the very hard, but right decision for their furbaby. We continue to thank God & those responsible for her in our lives for the past 3 years every day :)

I received an email last night from Abby's new mom. She is doing fine...following her around the house. She is not sure what to do with her new siblings (there are other yorkies in the home).....She is young, so I have a feeling she will be playing in no time! :)

I just received this darling picture of Abby today along with this little note about her:

I had to send you a pic of Abby, the Utah Yorkie you put us in touch with. She is a lot more active than our older dogs, always trying to coax one of them to play with her, and Pixie will even though she's 11! Here she's trying to coax me into a game of tugofwar.
