Looking for a good home. I used to be very active on this forum. I now have a 19 month old baby and I'm pregnant again. I work full time and my yorkie is getting the short end of the stick. My baby is causing him to have stress and it really isn't fair to him. I am only looking to rehome him because I love him so much. He needs a home without kids. He will need a fenced yard and parents that are home most of the day. Possibly a senior or single lady would be most desirable. He requires a daily walk. He is the perfect companion dog. He also likes to travel. Car rides are a treat for him. He is an excellent boy. He is 8 yrs old and about 7 lbs. He has no health issues. He is in great shape. Most people mistake him for a puppy. He has many good years ahead of him. I feed him Trader Joe's food and snacks. He is up to date on all shots etc. He has all the supplies. I have a designer crate, clothes, (2) $100 car seats, blankets and toys. You wouldn't have to buy anything. I would also provide at least a 6 month supply of food. I am hoping someone local will be interested. I will only let him go to a good home. |
I'm too far away or i would glady take him....i hope someone closer will be able to take him...how sad that you have to re-home him after eight years...sooo sorry for you. |
I see from your previous posts that your sweet little guy has not ever been able to adjust. I can tell you love him and I know how hard this must be for you...sometimes things do happen. Have you considered a rescue? Surely this pup would be re-homed instantly and through a rescue you would be sure that they will screen prospective homes for him. Good Luck and please keep us posted |
I have considered rescue, but I would have no say in who takes him. I know for my own mental health I would need to know who has him. |

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Best of luck in finding a good home for Romeo. |
I am so sorry you are having to go through with this... It sounds like it will be best for him. Good luck finding him a home! |
If you change your mind about rescue, I can tell you that Yorkie911 is really really great and has a very thorough adoption proceedure... Wishing you the best :) |
Please be very careful about placing your pup. You should check a person's vet out...see what kind of vetting they do for their pups. Important to know if they do heartworm preventatives and testing...and also dentals when needed. If a person is not willing to give you a vet reference....run the other way! If you need advice on this, feel free to PM me. You also should do a home visit prior to placement. Best wishes to you. |
If you need help ASAP I might be able to help you foster him until you find him a good home for him. I live in NYC...are you close by? |
So sorry that you are having to do rehome. I hope and pray that the right person comes along. Friending the new owner on facebook will help you to stay in contact and see him. When I got Bella, I ended up friending her previous owner on facebook so she and her little daughter could see her. I think that gave her previous owner a sense of comfort with Bella being rehomed. And of coarse I got the better end of the deal. Good luck and God bless you in all of this. |
