Rescues ny?? Urgent 1 Attachment(s) This is not a Yorkie. It is a one year old female Maltese in desperate need. I've been calling but the shelter is not picking up. Is there anyone local to Brooklyn that would be willing to take this one into their rescue? I've been told it's better to just show up their then to call because they do not answer phones. Here is the bio and picture. I have called and called and was willing to drive there this morning to pick her up, but it's getting late now and I have to go to work this afternoon. AND, hubby is very angry at me right now because we just took Gianna in and spent a small fortune on her vetting. There has to be a rescue in NY area, Rescue 911? She just needs a little work and she'll be beautiful and highly adoptable. Very young and a female. How someone could have done this to her in such a short time. omg she looks so pitiful! i hope someone is local and can help her. gosh that just brings tears to my eyes. how can someone do that to this baby. thanks for posting this.. |
Stray Oh no, is this really a live dog??????? Poor little thing, I pray someone will take him and hope that he can be saved. He is all bones! How terribly sad, how they could put his pic up on the site and not treat him first. |
Oh my goodness, that poor thing... I would take her and clean her up in a heartbeat... She deserves better. I hope someone gets in there and picks her up soon :( |
They will not let anyone pull her unless they are an organized rescue, otherwise I would have been on my way already. Please any rescues out there. She is not going to make it too long in that shelter in this condition. She's very young, just needs warmth, care and food to build her up. You cannot call they will not answer. You just have to go there. |
i wish i could help. it makes one feel so useless to have connections to help this poor baby. |
i meant no connections. |
;)I just spoke with Heidi, from Yorkie Rescue 911 and she said was told by Metropolitan Maltese Rescue that this dog has been missing for a long time and it is going to be reunited with it's family. |
oh that is so wonderful! i hope they dont lose her again. poor thing. thank you for updating us and trying to get this baby out of their. |
How sad, surely there is a rescue out there that can pull that baby:( How heartbreaking:( |
I'm so glad this poor dog will be reunited with her family. I was in tears looking at her picture. Poor angel. |

I would take him right this second Shoot I live in Argentina |
Correction and Update I wanted to update everyone on the little Maltese they have named Cola. First of all she is not being reunited with her family. This was a rumor. A rumor that could have prevented a rescue from attempting to get her out of that shelter. I think it's a lesson I certainly learned, that you can't believe everything you hear, even if te source seems reliable. Thank God I and another woman never published that rumor on FB under her picture or this poor girl may have been sitting waiting for a rescue that thought she was safe. She is now with Posh Pet Rescue and in a wonderful foster home and thank God is safe now. She's very fearful from what they have said and it appears has not had much human contact, which is so sad. Makes me think she was a breeder dog, by condition and her lack of human contact, but I dont' know that for sure. At any rate. I wanted to post this as a lesson that NO ONE should post something unless it is confirmed without a doubt. I took the word of a resuce, that probably did the same thing and all it did was keep the rumor going. I know I certainly learned a valuable lesson and thank God that that rumor did not leave this girl sitting in a shelter or worse. Elaine . |

Oh my gosh. How awful for someone to start a rumor like that. Ridiculous! I am glad the rescue got her and that she is in a wonderful foster home. Poor thing. She looked so pitiful in that picture. |
