She's beautiful -- hard to believe she would get to the point of the kill shelter. I sincerely hope someone has room in their fur family for here near CA!

I just checked on her and she is out of the high Kill shelter now and with a foster home.

I'm actually not surprised a yorkie is in a high kill shelter, the Lancaster/Palmdale area is a developing area. Back when everyone was buying houses, that was the number one place to buy. Most people paid around $300K for a 2 story 4-5 bedroom house, with a formal dining area, laundry room, 2-3 car garage, and on and on. The house my dad owns now near the harbor is worth more than that today in this bad economy. It's a tiny 2 bedroom house. A lot of people that bought in Lancaster/Palmdale lost their houses when the economy went belly up.

Yes it is so sad how the economy has changed so many lives skin and fur.

This also seems to be an area with an abundance of Backyard Greeders who keep the Animal Shelters with a ready supply of Yorkies:thumbdown:mad::thumbdown
