I toyed with the idea of keeping her, and I have fallen in love with her, but my old girl Lucy (who is deaf and has dementia) isn't doing well with her. I have decided to put her up for adoption through Maryland Pet Match Rescue, and that way I can continue to foster (Yorkies) for the rescue. Snookie was a matted, hyper, 7.6 pound, adorable, untrained mess. She is about 9 months old. I have been working hard on her manners, like not jumping up on people, sitting politely, crate and house training, and leash walking. She is a fast learner! Snookie is available for adoption to residents of Maryland. She has been spayed, and has had all of her shots. She has been groomed, had a complete dental and vet exam, blood work panel, heart worm tested (negative), and microchipped. She is current with her flea and tick and heart worm protection. Potential adopters will need to fill out an application. We check references and previous vet records. We do a home visit. A contract must be signed. Snookie would do best with someone who could be home with her much of the time (not left in a crate all day). She does require a securely fenced yard. Because of her size, we prefer a home with no very young children, though she does adore playing with children and other dogs. Her adoption fee is $300. I have already spent more than that on her and can provide receipts and records for everything. If you have any questions, or would like to visit Snookie, send me a message and I'll send you my phone number. I can't stress enough what a great little girl she is. She is full of personality, and has so much love to give. She needs and deserves to have her own furever family. Could you be her perfect match? - Kim |
