Male & female yorkie orphaned, needing new home! 2 Attachment(s) Robby and Shayna lost their caretaker and now need a new home. Anyone living in or around (or willing to travel some) Newhall, CA. and would like to adopt both, here is what my friend sent me this afternoon. Here are the pictures of Shayna and Robby. Shayna is the female (short-hair) on the green recliner chair. She weighs 12 lbs. and she is 5 years old and in good health. Robby, the male, is 8.5 lbs. and 3 years old. He is also in good health. We would like them to remain together in a home with an enclosed yard of some kind. They have lived all of their life in a second floor apartment like situation (with a terrace attached). We would also like it if the new parents were not a full time working couple as they need a great deal of human contact. They (the dogs) like to "kiss" a lot. They are very well paper-trained and are transitioning to being "house trained." They have not been around young children so we do not feel they are ready for this type of situation. These two Yorkies were like my parents children. I am hoping that we can find someone who will continue to love and spoil them. And here are their pictures. |
Oh....hope they find their new home together soon..... |
Oh I hope that they can find a new home together. They must be so sad. |
Hope this helps! I realize you are looking for a home for these beautiful kids on your own bust have you considered contacting a reputable rescue group? The pre-screen the homes and make sure that the new parents are reputable and loving. One that I love for rescue is : United Yorkie Rescue. United Yorkie Rescue - A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Yorkshire Terrier Rescue Organization They are nationwide and a wonderful rescue group. ♥ |
You might also try YTNR....they also have foster homes in CA. Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue, Inc. |
How sad. I hope they find a great home together. Would be heartbreaking to have to separate them. |

Sounds like she just lost her parents. I'm sure, knowing how much her parents loved those dogs, she wants to know and meet the person who eventually adopts them rather than just relinquish them to a temporary foster home... |
Hope these babies find a home. Wish they were here in GA. |
I hope they find a great home soon... I'm glad she's keeping them until she finds them a home :) |

Aloha, I was sent your post and I have been looking for a small dog for my adult autistic brother. I am not far from Newhall and would be interested in taking (and loving) them both. However 2 things, You said you want them with a fenced back yard... my brother has an 1100 sq ft one story end unit condo with a wrought iron fence around 3/4 around it, I could & would arrange for it to be small doggie proofed, but there are several doggie parks in Temecula (where my bro lives) and he is so good to his doggies. and the 2nd thing is I do visit and bring my 2 almost 3yr old granddaughter over and you mentioned them not having been around small children. She is afraid of my dog (I have a husky) but is still loving and cautious with her. So I will PM you my contact info if these 2 things can be worked out.... I appreciate your time and only hope your parents babies dont have to suffer anymore after the loss of your parents! Lynette |
That lady didn't get back to us to let us know if a home was found or not. Not even a thank you when I had two homes lined up. I'm so sorry. Check the shelters for a small dog for your brother. So many needing homes. So sad. |
thank you, yes I am still checking out everywhere I can find... |

thank you.. My brother went on a little trip and is returning Tuesday, so next week we will be visiting the shelters too... I must check with Escondido to see if they rebuilt, Im sure they did, but that is where we got 2 of our huskies (not at the same time) before they had that terrible fire.. Will keep you posted and hopefully share the good news next week... Although I am at a disadvantage not having a clue on knowing if the dogs at the shelters fit the criteria for what his doctor recommended yorkies for in the first place... ahhhh, let this be our biggest problem... :) |
