A very sad true story, we need help!! This is a sad story, we hope with a better ending. My daughters pomapoo Cali, got out of her back yard. They thought she was in the house. She was playing with some little girls. The little girls found a home two doors down from her own house. My daughter and I had been going from door ro door and asked all the neighbors if they had seen her. She ended going to a Yorkie Rescue and now after we have tracked her down the foster parent a lady named Cheri wont giver her back . She would not even give my daughter any information on the site or where she could get in contact with any one affiliated with the site. Until last night when my daughter looking on a yorkierescue.com and found her Calie baby for $450. My daughter went into a panic attack. My granddaughter is 6 and has been so incredibly sad over losing her baby. How can a rescue site who supposedly has the animals best interest in mind keep her from her loving family? This was not an abused or neglected dog, she is not a yorkie she is a pompous. Anyone have any ideas as to what we can do? |
How did you track down the foster mom without going through the Rescue group? The websites don't give out info on foster homes. |
This does not sound like Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue at all. They are an amazing rescue and help so many yorkies and other furkidd. If you need help contacting someone from the rescue, please let me know. |
Have you offered to prove that this is indeed your dog? You must have a license, vet records, family photos, microchip registration, etc. that would show the dog is yours. |

OP, gather up whatever evidence you have, then contact the yorkie rescue. Or contact Adi-and-Missy, as she is a volunteer of that rescue. |

Please be careful before putting out information regarding rescue sites without confirming the exact information is accurate. Here is a link for "available dogs" on YTNR's site: Looking for a New Home... If you see your dog, Calie listed there for $450, please point her out because there is not a dog listed by this name. If you would like to discuss this further, please pm me as I am a foster mom for YTNR and would be happy to help you if I can. |

I agree -- take your paperwork that shows this dog belongs to you to the rescue and see what they say. I think the rescue would want to reunite an owner if all was proven. Especially since she was not found in good shape, they are going to be requiring some positive proof that you own the dog. You may also need to reimburse for expenses. I would do that no matter what, since they have been providing care, grooming, & shelter. BTW -- what is a "pompous?" Never mind -- I reread and in one place you called her a pompous and another a pomapoo -- so a pomeranian mixed with a poodle? If so, that would not be Chloe, who appears to be a yorkie and def not a pompoo. Never mind........ I should just edit to remove this......Sorry! |

Hopefully, the OP will update the thread, pm me or better yet, contact YTNR directly. |
I hope this all gets straightened out. Senarios like these are exactly why I totally believe in microchipping. |
