New Homes Needed 4 yorkie pets Recently my wife died of breast cancer of 48 years. The four yorkies were my wife's dogs (papers lost; my wife kept the papers on her dogs). They are our sweet pets. Between my job and caring for my 7 yr old son, I no longer have the time to care for our yorkies. They deserve better. Looking for loving families who love yorkies to get them good homes. They are all healthy: 1 teacup male (Logie), 3 females (Sophie, Lexie, Sally). Sophie and Lexie are mother & daughter who have lived together all their lives; it would break my heart to separate them now. I live on Long Island, New York. I can be reached at: rockdocjon@aol.com |
I wish you lots of love and good wishes ; that you are able to find wonderful homes for your furbabies, maybe even all together, ya never know. Prayers are with you and your child for healing times coming.:aimeeyork |
I'm so sorry for your loss and I'm sure it is heartbreaking to have to separate from your beloved pets as well. Prayers to you and your family! I wish I could take them on, but unfortunately I'm only getting my first baby myself and taking on any more would not be a good idea. I hope you find good homes for them soon! |
Have you contacted a rescue group to help you out?? |
I am so sorry for your loss, and at such a young age too. I wish you the best in finding good homes for your wife's pets. Please be selective and be sure irreputable puppy mill folks don't get their hands on them. If they are not all spayed and neutered, I might do that before rehoming them just to be sure. A resuce is a great idea s they really screen prospective owners to make sure they will provide well for the pups. If I was closer, I would be happy to help, but I am sure you should be able to find homes for them in New York. Just be sure the new owners can financially provide for them too. Many will jump at the chance for a "free" or "discounted" Yorkie, but make sure they think through vet bills and the like. You have probably already considered all of this but I thought I would throw it out there just in case. With so much else on your mind, you might not think about it. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. I know all too well the cruelty of cancer when it takes your loved one. May she rest in peace and you be comforted by sweet memories and the knowledge you can be together again some day. God bless you and your son. |
I am so sorry you lost your wife. You are such a sweetheart for looking for a loving home for her babies. God Bless You and good luck in finding great homes for them. I pray that they will be loved and adored in their new homes. Hugs. |

This is such a sad story that comes close to my heart. I lost my Mother from B Cancer when she was 48. Remember, these dogs are grieving too. Try to rehome them together if possible. I know it's a hard decision to rehome your dogs but your son needs you now more than ever. Bless you and your family. Stay Tight. Make sure before rehoming that they are spayed and neutered. You dont want someone breeding these dogs. Good Luck....Keep us updated. |
Wish i was closer...i just might consider a fursibling for my Sophie. |
Bump!! Anyone in New York area help please!!!! |
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Have you found homes for your 4 yorkies yet? |
I do believe WE are picking them up this week. ;) They will be very well taken care of, groomed and Vetted, spayed/neutered ASAP You can stay posted at: Welcome to Yorkie911 Rescue, Inc. |
I'd love to help But i'm not sure i can take all 4 together. I consider myself a bit lucky that both my building and my job allows me to bring Taylor to work with me and having one more or even two is not a problem, but 4 might be a stretch. I'll drop a email and see what i can do. |
