Reno is ready to be adopted Reno is now available for adoption. Here is a link - he is the first dog listed in Adoptable Dogs Florida Little Dog Rescue - Adoptable Dogs There are more recent pics in his album in my profile. I am really going to miss him, but he is ready for adoption. |
Reno is just so cute! I'm sure that he will find a wonderful home with your help. FLDR has many very sweet little ones looking for furever homes. Thank you for fostering and helping to give Reno a chance at the life he deserves. Please keep us posted. :) |
Your a special lady for fostering him! I hope he goes to a great home where he gets all the love he wants. |
Reno is such a sweetie pie and oh, what a change you have made. I so hope he finds a wonderful home soon. |
from what I understand from when I agreed to foster him when they get applications for him they will forward them to me, so I will be able to select a good home for him from the applications. It is going to have to be one special home. And hopefully whoever adopts him will send me updates on him occasionally. |

Thank you for taking such good care of Reno. It probably won't take long for you to find him that special forever home. |
Reno is such a cutie! :) Ahahaha His name reminds me of Miloh since he was named Reno by his breeder. You've done a wonderful thing for Reno, I'm sure he'll find his forever home soon. |
The Rescue group had named him Reno. My husband always called him Remo though (he always used to read The Destroyer books and apparently the main character is Remo Williams). But I don't think Reno could tell the difference with me calling him Reno and Bruce calling him Remo:D Oh - he is not the first one on the adoptable dogs page now, he has moved further down. |
I really pray Reno finds an amazing furever family- please keep us posted :) |
Keep your fingers crossed. Looks like Reno may have a forever home. LDR just called me and someone is interested in Reno, and they sound perfect for him. Michele from LDR is sending me the application so I can call and talk to them. Michele has already talked to them twice and she said she loves them, but I have to check them out myself and let her know. So, as soon as I get the application I will be calling them and arranging for them to come see Reno. Please keep your fingers crossed that this is really going to be a perfect forever home for him. I am so going to miss him! But will have another rescue when we get back from our cruise.:animal36 |

I just talked to the people that want to adopt him. (Also did a check on them) They sound perfect. They were going to go to Paypal and pay the adoption fee as soon as we hung up. So, as soon as LDR gets the fee we will arrange for them to pick Reno up. I will take a pic of him with his new parents when they get him and will upload it. I think I'm going to have a good cry when he goes. |

Looks like this adoption isn't going to work out! The last thing the guy said before he hung up was he was going to Paypal to pay the adoption fee to the Rescue group. I let Michele at LDR know and she said for me to tell him that as soon as he got the Paypal confirmation he could bring that with him and pick up Reno. When I called the guy back I got the answering machine, so I left a message. Didn't hear anything back. I called again this morning, same thing, left a message on answering machine. Not heard back. Michele said that this sometimes happens. So Reno will be around here a bit longer:) |
He is the cutest thing! Hopefully his new parents are right around the corner. |
Where is he located at? My brother lives in Florida and has been looking. |
I am in Palm Bay (next to Melbourne in Brevard county). If your brother is interested he would have to go through the rescue group. I am just fostering Reno. Here is the link - click on "adoptable dogs" Florida Little Dog Rescue - Home His uptodate pics are in an album on my profile page. |
Wow I'm sorry things didn't work out with Reno just yet. I guess it just wasn't meant to be and you can love him a bit longer:) |
I am sure the perfect parents are out there for Reno - sorry things fell through for him but I know he will be blessed with the perfect forever home |
I hope so too. He deserves a forever home. He is so sweet. I am annoyed at the couple who applied to adopt him. The filled out the application, LDR checked them out, spoke to them, vetted them and passed the application to me. I spoke with them. Asked if they wanted to come out and see Reno before making a final decision. The husband said No, his wife is adamant she wants Reno. He was going online to pay the adoption fee through Paypal. Didn't hear anything else. I tried calling him and left a message on his answering machine Saturday, no response, I called and left a message again on Sunday, still no response. Michele from LDR called them yesterday on their cell phone and managed to get them. Oh, they got a dog locally on Saturday, so they won't be taking Reno. Michele sent them an e-mail saying it would have been courteous to let us know, that she was happy they rescued another dog but common courtesy would have saved us some time that would have been better spent elsewhere. I suspect, if they really did get a rescue dog, they got it at the local shelter - which is a good thing to do -that only has $70 adoption fees. Some people don't understand that the local shelter is supported by the county, our dog license fees go to support it. Rescue groups have to rely on donations and adoption fees to keep going. So the adoption fee is naturally higher. |
