dog You are so wonderful to take this little sweetheart into your home and heart. How could anyone be so cruel? She will have love and good health and lots of comfort. I am so thankful for you ! Tiny, you have been blessed with a wonderful friend and companion who will never mistreat you or leave you. Bless you my dog-loving friend. You have an angel in your presence! |
Oh no Tiny! Hello all! Yesterday I had a terrible scare and thought my precious Tiny was going to leave me. I was getting ready for a short shift at work. Tiny was still on my bed and was snoring away. I looked and had forgotten to turn a light off in another room. I left just long enough to turn it off when I heard that spine cringing sound of something falling.... Yes, Tiny in that short period of time woke up and fell off the bed. She was unconscious for several minutes but slowly came around. She was clearly dazed. I had to go to work for about 2 hours. I placed her on her bed downstairs after she was awake . I was so upset and frightened to return. My poor Tiny! When I opened the door she was there to greet me, but she was not quite herself all day. Today she is back to normal, but I feared I had lost my little friend. I am grateful to God that she seems ok. I work in head trauma and know how quickly life changes when head trauma is involved. Please say an extra prayer for Tiny. She is such a kind hearted soul. |
Awwww...poor baby. I pray she is back to her old self in no time. |

After all this little one has gone through, the idea that she suffered a head injury and instead of being taken to a vet, she was left alone and could have possibly died alone and scared makes me beyond upset. |

I do think with your knowledge of head trauma you would have used better judgement with her. As you most certainly know, you don't always see outwards signs of what may be going on inside the head. Then to leave her alone after that fall and being knocked out. I wish you would have taken her to the Vet and left her there for them monitor her while you were gone. |

OK before all of you start, my neighbor was watching Tiny while I was gone. We are not talking about 9 in the morning, I left at 0430, so it was quite a favor I asked of her to do. Of course I called the emergency vet who knows my extensive knowledge of head injury considering I do this every day of my life. So before you judge me read this thread and you will find I have always done what is in Tiny's best interest. Of course I felt horrible leaving Tiny, but I absolutely had to go into work for a brief period. My neighbor that gets up early also was perfectly willing to watch her and the emergency vet was comfortable with that. They know me very well, not only from going to them as a customer, but I also cared for her son when he had his extensive head injury requiring craniotomy. I do know head injury more than probably all of you. I hope you will trust my judgement in what I did. To those who question my expertise, I do have multiple high level certifications in head injury. So please, stop being so unkind. Time and time again I read where someone tells a tale such as this and many judgements are made. Tiny was walking when I left. She was drinking some water. Her pupils were equal and reactive. She was responding to her name. She was monitored by someone that knew what to look for and where to go if there was a problem. I felt I left Tiny alone without the one person that has loved her more than anyone... me. I understand how you may have thought no one was with her. She is fine now. I have learned a big lesson. I should have been more specific in what I posted. It was too vague. It only brings out some very hateful and nasty responses and personal attacks. Take care everyone. Tiny and I have appreciated your thoughts and prayers over the years. |

Praying she's okay.... and continues to improve. |
You left an enormous amount of extremely important info out of your post. How do you think people are supposed to read what you wrote? I'm glad Tiny had company and an ER vet was involved. But knowing this forum and being a member here as long as you have, what did you expect people to think when you leave out critical info? |
I apologize to any of you that have followed Tiny and were upset that she was left alone. Not so... never happened and never will. She always has and always will have the best. Thanks again for all the love sent her way. We will never forget our YorkieTalk friends. |

I'm so glad that Tiny is alright. I know the love and care you show her and know you always have her best interest at heart. Sometimes what we write is easily confused and people don't pick up the whole story, and sometimes we miss out details when are trying to get things across. You are so lucky to have such a great neighbour. Tiny is always in our thoughts and you have done great with her, accidents can happen and we are happy that all is well with you and Tiny , take care and have a great day. Give Tiny a big hug from us . |
