Yorkie in VA Beach Animal Control
 
My friends mom found a little yorkie and she took him to the shelter to see if he was microchipped... they scanned him and he was but they kept him there and his owners have no claimed him yet. He will be put up for adoption on the 17th if they do not claim him... in case anyone is interested. He is very cute they said he is young and neutered.

I hope he finds a great home! :)

Not sure.... I live in NY and she told me about him. I asked her to take him in to see if he was microchipped I thought for sure his owners woudl be missing him :(

Hopefully someone from her adopts him! She said he is a real sweetheart, fetches and throws the ball back and give hugs and kisses :)

I just asked her. That link is not him. She said he is smaller and has shaved hair... She said he is blue and gold. Gosh I hope he finds a good home. She said the shelter told her he wouldnt be posted until the 17th ... to give his owners a chance to claim him since he is microchipped.

Maybe someone can fill me in, if a dog is microchipped why is the shelter not calling them? I have Reggie microchipped and when I had it done I also had to fill out info. My phone number,address, name,even another persons name that can call me if they can't find me. So if he gets lost all they have to do is look at the number and my info will come up. I would call every vet and shelter around me but maybe they are new, not from the area? Just maybe:rolleyes:

The shelter did call them they just never came to claim him :( They give them 10 days to come in and if they don't they put them up for adoption. I would imagine if they werent from the area they would at least phone the shelter back and make arrangements. MY friends mom has been in contact with the shelter and they told her the owners still have had no contact with them... tomorrow he will be available (the 17th)...
