6 year old Female Yorkie in CA Need help finding either a rescue or forever home in CA. Biggest mistake ever. I rehomed one of my retired females to a home with no children, lady is home all day and assured me the dog would be forever cared for and loved. Well two weeks later the new owners are stating they have to rehome her once again. So before I put her back on a plane to NM I wanted to explore the options of finding another home in CA or close by. Suggestions and ideas of rescues are greatly appreciated. |
I can't offer any help but wanted to say that I am sorry that you have to find a new home. I feel badly for the little yorkie who needs to adjust once again. Wish I could help out. Good luck. |
Thank you very much. Im leaning more towards just getting her back here in NM and giving up the whole rehoming idea. She is a great dog, should be the only female as she is the dominant girl of the house. Other than that shes great! Thanks again |
Where in CA is she? SoCal or North Cal? I have friends who are foster moms of YTNR and I'm sure they would know who to contact. |
Not to familiar with CA but shes in Moreno Valley. Hope that helps, thank you for your efforts. |
Oh, that helps. That's near Riverside. I'll see if my friend can help. |
Oh that's too bad she came from so far, I have 2 friends that are looking for yorkie females but neither one would know how to handle dogs with issues. Well I wish you all the best. |

Thanks for everyones help I will contact the lady who I GAVE her too and explore the options. She wasnt flown to CA she traveled by car with family. So Im hoping a flight back wont be so bad, weather permitting her to fly or shell have to be bussed back down if thats what is chosen as the best option for her. And at this point I am still leaning towards that option of her coming back home. |
Hi there, I'm one of the foster moms Dvlshangel was talking about. I just had a question about how dominant she is, as most of our foster mom's all have other dogs. Is she aggressive or just alpha? Moreno valley is not that far from me, but if we pick her up, she will be in ytnr and will not be returned to you. If you feel it best to have her returned to you, then I guess you will have to see if either you or the new owner will have to go get her. I hope everything works out. If you have concerns, please feel free to pm me. |
Adoption of yorkie My name is Rosie and we have owned Yorkies for over 12years and our Princess just passed away, we have been trying to find another to fill the void, I live in Buena Park Ca. , close to Moreno Valley. Please let me know. |
Thank you all for your efforts and concerns. I talked with the lady who I GAVE her to and she assured and reassured me that Precious wasnt going anywhere and that she would do what she had to do to keep it this way. I guess as Precious was getting used to her new home she was rebelling some and acting more like a stud dog and marking everywhere so it had the new owners concerned that it might be an ongoing problem. But after three weeks Precious is doing better and settling in. Only to prove to her new owners that she is a GREAT GAL!!! Thanks again to you all. |
