Her story will forever live in the pages of YT as an inspiration to those looking for help. She could easily be the the poster pup for substandard breeding practices. Her multitude of serious medical issues should be enough to make other realize that breeding dog should be left to knowledgeable breeders that care about the well being of not only the parents but also the puppies they produce. We need to continue to have a strong voice for the welfare of all animals. Even if we are not able to convince everyone we can continue to lead by example for how we all care for our pets. If we are able to stand together and stop just one litter from being created we can consider ourselves a success! Linda when is Roriee's birthday? Is it coming up soon or do you even know? I have an idea :D |

I honestly do not know her birthday. Jen might. I don't know if it was on her papers or not. |

Has he ever talked about writing any kind of paper about her treatment and her case? I'm sure that others would love to hear her story too. |

Darling Roriee I watch and read about you each day, though limited with time due to family commitments at home atm. Our love of furbabies keeps me going. My 4 rascals lol, my dolls my furbabies inspire me to give each day all that I can and more. Roriee and Shelby are soul sisters along with our dearest Ellie. Our AAI furbabies need our voices, our strength and determination to ensure that these BYB are stopped. I still dont have the energy to pursue Shelby's breeder and expose her here in YT. My energies and needs are focused on Shelby and Dad they come first. Please keep posting about Roriee, gives me hope with Shelby when she has a set back, always two steps forward and a step back with our sweethearts. She's in my prayers each day along with all those with no voices to help them. Anne |
I will keep your Shelby in my prayers. I am so sorry she is ill. |

We just cannot get over how far Roiree has come since entering her loving foster home. From not being able to eat and stand up, to running around her foster home, giving kisses and co-existing with her foster siblings. When she first came to us, poor Roriee would utter a loud, shreaking scream with just the slightest touch or movement. It was heartbreaking. Without all of your prayers and the wonderful medical attention from Roiree's vet that she needed so desperately, Roiree would probably not be here today. It's always amazing what A POSITIVE ATTITUDE can do! |

Roriee's rescue and recovery is truly a heartwarming and hopeful journey! She is so lucky to have become part of the YHR family :). If not for YHR, Roriee wouldn't even be here today. |

Thank you for your kind words. :) Let me add, that also if not for the YT family, she would not be here. People have been amazing...donating and sending emails...praying and keeping positive thoughts. It is indeed heartwarming to see all of it and to see how little Roriee has responded. |
At times when I feel overwhelmed I come and read Roiree's thread and am instantly uplifted. I tell myself if this little girl could face what she has and thrive as she does now, what I have are inconveniences in life, not problems! To come to YHR in such devastating physical condition, and then to see her now, it's hard to believe she is the same yorkie. Thank you Linda, Jen and to all have loved Roiree through this! It's truly a testament to the fact that there are still good people out there that care about the life of a little dog who once had no hope. |
I'm just catching up to her latest photos. So cute! I hope she's doing ok. |
Roriee Update All of the following was added to the YHR website today. I somehow left some out in the above post, so I am just redoing it all here. :) ------------ We just cannot get over how far Roiree has come since entering her loving foster home. 09/29/10 – Roriee is doing well. She was put back on Prednisone because her eyesight was going, and it has come back in one of her eyes. The other one she can’t either see at all or very little. She has got a lot of spunk in her step since going on the prednisone and her appetite has also increased because of it. She is very happy and ruling the roost in her foster home, which is the way she likes it being the smallest munchkin of the bunch. She goes back into tomorrow for her next round of chemo. Roriee sends her barks and tail wags everyone’s way for your continued thoughts and prayers for her. |
Good luck tomorrow Roriee, keep up your spunky little fighting attitude!:hug: |
What a heartwarming story. The love that this little one has been shown is absolutely heartwarming. I look forward to continued updates. |
Linda and Jen we all love you on YT and think you are amazing for saving Roriee life. She was a very sick girl and you guys have nursed her back to health. I dont understand why some people think they can own a dog without vetting. This baby was suffering and was going to be PTS. It's so rewarding coming on and seeing just what YHR has done for her. I applaud all of you at YHR for the hard work you do everyday....Lissette:bravo: |
Keeping those prayers going for you sweet Roriee! Sending tons of love and hugs and kisses! Same goes out to all sick pups! I believe Roriee's Birthday is in the last week of January. I couldn't determine the exact day... :D |
