Two year old 3 lb male yorkie to good home
 

I have a 3 lb yorkie I would like to find a home for. We are in Lawrence Kansas. My husband and I work 10 hour days and just not fair to keep him in kennel all day. He is darling, not a yappy barker, beautiful coat. He had some health issues early on, but is healthy now. Trained but has occasional accidents. Hi. I was reading your older posts. Harley was 3 lbs. in August at 7 months old. He was sick then. Did you find out what was wrong with him and also he didn't put on any weight between then and now? Also, is he neutered. If he's not (And I'm not trying to stir anyting up here) I hope you'll consider neutering him prior to placing him. He's a tiny male and he may end up in the wrong hands no matter how careful you are. I know you would not want him to end up in a mill situation as a breeder dog, since you mentioned you are looking for a good home for him. If I can help you in anyway I have access to Yorkie rescues that I can help you in trying to place him with. They would ensure that he is first neutered, had all the medical he may need and find a perfect home for him. Feel free to PM me if you'd like me to help you. Elaine

…I have read your past posts on YT regarding Harley….I am very familiar with Liver Shunt, and my gosh, it sounds like this is what is wrong with him…

Have you had a Bile Acid Test done yet? Have you seen a specialist??? Liver Shunt is not a death sentence, but without surgery to close the shunt, and if he isn’t eating the proper special food and taking the proper supplements, he will not live for very long…

If you really want to find him a new home, please, consider a reputable Yorkie Rescue, as they will take him to the Vet and /or specialist and make sure he get the proper Vet care in order to live a happy and healthy life…

Olga from Retro Doggie Rescue is AWSOME!! She herself should be a Vet/Nutritionist as she knows Liver Shunt dogs like the back of her hand. As a matter of fact, right now, she has a few Liver Shunt dogs in her rescue that she is trying to stabilize and get healthy enough for surgery…

:thumbup::thumbup: I agree, this sounds like a shunt. I know it must be hard to rehome him after everything you have been thru. Make sure he goes to someone who has knowledge about shunts. Good Luck to you

Is Harley your little 3 pound male still available for adoption because I am very interested in him. Is he good with kids, cats and other dogs? Also what is his adoption fee?
