Reason Not to Advertise Free Pups I often advise people to be careful when placing their pups. Be sure to do a vet check which is very telling. Sometimes I mention that their pups could end up in mills....or end up as bait dogs. Oh my god this is sickening! Thank you for letting us know. I have to had a note about "why you shouldn't give your pet away for free to stranger" somewhere on my website when I found the time. To warn as many people as possible. Free pets are also sometime end up sold to laboratories for testing... or keep to product worms, also sold to Laboratories for testing... :( |
Just when you think it could not get any worse! This is what I think of when I drive through some remote areas and down County Roads with out-buildings. I know that most are just for farm equipment etc... but sadly some are full of unsuspecting animals, breaks my heart. Goes to show you can't trust people on line, "placing animals and saving hundreds" on their own. WHERE IS THE PROOF IN STORIES??!?? I'd need pictures, references, and copies of pd vet bills, there is always at least a paper trail that can be followed. Always follow up references, vet checks, and meet face to face if you are re homing, or contact a REPUTABLE rescue, they will provide overwhelming proof of humane treatment! |

That's why that sites rules are you must ask for an adoption fee. there's crazy dog / cat abusers every where. I dont think its just free dogs/cats/rabbits/hamsters etc its that many people dont screen, they dont find out where their animals are going. many dont care as long as they get rid of them. its people like that that dont need them in the first place. there was a thread i posted awhile back that a man was buying cheap dogs and killing them , he was going state to state. many sickos out there. in rehoming a pet free or $ one must do whats right and screen those people first. ask for vet references, personal references, do a home visit. make a contract that if you feel its not a good home you can take it back. |
