Yorkie mix in Alabama Shelter
 
Hi everyone. As some of yall know, I am director of animal control for my county. We have this sweet little girl in our shelter. She has been listed on petfinder for about a week with no luck. We think she is yorkie and jackrussell. She looks like a blonde yorkie, but the hair texture isnt right for a yorkie. Adoption fee is only $45 and includes spay and one set of yearly vaccinations.(we have a wonderful vet that gives us that awesome rate) We do release to 501c rescues. Keep in mind that unfortunately we ARE a kill shelter. Some one please save this sweet baby!!!!!

Whats the name of this shelter? Where is it located? Are there any rescue shelters near? Sometimes they will travel a distant. When is his death sentence due?

We are located in east central alabama between birmingham and atlanta. She has actually surpassed her normally alotted time here. We are not at capacity so we have given her extra time, because we do feel that she is extremely adoptable. I love to work with rescues, because they can screen their adopters and with us it is pretty much first come. We release to 501c rescues for no fee. Thank you all for your help. I knew that posting her here would get her the home she deserves. Thanks again, Jess

This little one is going to a rescue tomorrow!!! :) Thank you SO much Jess (luvnmymax) for your dedication to the pups. You are doing a great job at that shelter.

did she find a home yet?? my sister is in birmingham she has a jack well actually bailey is a papillion which i understand is some type of jack russell?? anyway she was here visiting and met my babs and fell in love bailey is getting in her twilight years soo she was saying maybe i should... anyways i'm trying to entice her she would be an excellent parent for lulu and she kind of looks like my sister's beloved dog from our childhood

I made a donation to them and they sent me a very nice note about Louanne AKA Lulu! She is adjusting well and will be spayed on Tuesday. :)

OMG! Thank you!! So i was reading this thread and I went to see miss Lulu on the link and it said that this pet is no longer available. my heart sank, praying someone adopted her or got pulled. :) Great to hear!

Sue from little bits sent me an email last night. Lulu has been adopted! She went to a home with a yorkie that was adopted from them previously. Im SO glad that her story has such a happy ending!!! Thanks again to eveyone that helped make that happen... There is a special place in heaven for people like you!!!!! ~Jess
