Two yorkies need rehomed.
 
Anyone interested in 2 Yorkshire Terriers (free)? Maizie, age 7 and Marley, age 4. They can be separated.

These are not my dogs. A friend of mine has to rehome them due to them not getting along with their little daughter. Please PM if interested.

Their daughter is only 18 months old and is a bit rough with them. Yes, they are nipping at her when she hurts them.

they are so cute.
please tell your friend to be very careful when posting for free. many end up in the wrong hands. please tell her to do background checks and get vet ref.

how large are they? I have a tiny, 3 lb. yorkie and would probably need another small one...

I'm not certain what their sizes are. I can find out tomorrow though. I will post more information tomorrow.

That's one reason why I posted here. Hoping a YT member will help out. :D I would love to take them, but my hubby said no. :thumbdown

Okay some more info on them: They are totally up to date on all shots, both spayed/neutered, Maizie weighs approx. 7 lbs. and Marley weighs approx. 12 lbs.

Please keep in mind that these babies are located near Cleveland, Ohio.

Im so glad to hear that they are UTD on shots and have been spayed/neutered:thumbup: this will weed out the ones that might of just wanted them for breeding.
I hope and pray that they both find forever loving homes hopefully together.

Ahhh they are so cute...wish i lived near.... i would have 2 take both though so sad 2 seperate them after they been together all this time :(

The sad truth is that people can hide their true intentions behind a pleasant screen name persona. Be very careful they do not wind up in the hands of someone who wants to turn them into bait for a dog fighting ring.

Oh yeah....even on YT. You just never know. Thank you for posting this....sometimes people can really sell a bill of goods on the internet.

Please be sure to do a thorough check (or tell your friend to do so) on anyone interested in these two. The first thing that should be done is a call to the person's veterinarian to find out how they care for or have cared for their personal pets.

I talked to my DH and he said that now is not the right time for us to add another one to our family:(. It makes me sad but I know in my heart he is right. We both need to get out of school before we get another Yorkie. I want to be able to provide the best possible home for my Yorkie and right now that means that we can not add another yet. I am sure that they will soon find a loving home:)

Perhaps you could suggest to your friend that she might consider surrendering both of her Yorkies to a breed specific rescue group such as Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue (yorkierescue.com). That way her Yorkies can be safely placed with a YTNR Foster Momma first and then, carefully screened for adoption.

If these two are a bonded pair, she can request that they be adopted together also. We have an adorable pair right now on our website, "Lucy & Ricky" who will only be placed for adoption as a pair.

If your friend does not want to surrender to a rescue group, I strongly encourage her to do her homework and at least do a Home Inspection plus Check References (Vet, Groomer & Personal) of the family interested in adopting her Yorkies.

I can't stress this enough but, if these two Yorkies are a bonded pair it would really be heartless for anyone to even want to split these two apart.:rolleyes:

Best of luck to these two Yorkies in finding their FOREVER home this time!;)

so happy to hear that they found homes. but kinda sad they had to be placed apart.
