Ashley needs our help Hi Yorkie Talkers, I was on an adoption website and came across this yorkie. Her story touched me so much I had to share it. I donated for her vet bills and hope she recovers well and lives a long, healthy and happy life. I hope she finds a wonderful home. Below is a website of the shelter that is caring for her and her story. Precious Paws Asian and Small Breed Dog Rescue, Inc. Ashley is a senior Yorkie rescued from a breeder. She has a large mammary tumor that needs to be removed. We are extremely limited on funds and are already trying to raise the money to have a cancerous tumor removed from another one of our senior, special needs, long term fosters. Donations in any amount are gratefully accepted and sincerely appreciated so that we can get her spayed and her tumor removed. Update October 5: Ashley was seen by the vet today and she actually has 4 tumors on her left side and 3 tumors on her right side needing to be removed. We do not have the funds to pay for these tumor removals, please help Ashley get the surgery she needs. If you'd like to make a donation using PayPal or a credit card, a donation button is below. Update October 7:Ashley has had her surgery. It was something that simply could not wait to be done. This was an extremely lengthy and difficult surgery with all chains and mammary tissue being removed due to numerous masses found. Ashley was under anesthesia for a very long time during this major surgery, had difficulty waking up and is having a difficult recovery. We have posted a picture of Ashley pre-surgery at the vet clinic in her holding cage and the other picture is of one of the vet techs holding Ashley post-surgery. We did not have adequate funds for this surgery as we had only received one very kind donation from Carol Weatherford towards Ashley's surgery. We had it done because Ashley's life depended on it and we had to do it regardless of any financial consideration. Would you please donate to help us pay for this surgery that literally saved Ashley's life? Had these tumors not been removed, she had a very limited time to live as the cancer would have further invaded her little body. We did not want Ashley to die only knowing the life of a breeding dog in a cage being neglected for her entire life. We wanted to do anything possible to try to give Ashley as long as possible to live so she would finally be able to feel love and kindness. Something she never had. Something all animals deserve. http://www.asiandogrescue.net/ashleyindex.jpg http://www.asiandogrescue.net/ashleypresurgery.jpg http://www.asiandogrescue.net/ashleysurgery.jpg |
