Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: A.J.: Petfinder

What a cutie. If I wasn't so far away in MD, I've love to get this little guy. :)

A. J. is a sweet boy that is looking for that special home. He is not a tea cup yorkie, he weighs approx. 18 lbs. He came into rescue because his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. His adoption fee is $250.. cash
A.J. is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

I've been seriously contemplating another dog since.... well, since I got Jackson! LOL. But I have my doubts, too. I'm like... am I really at a time in my life where I should have two... I just don't know. :( But there's so many dogs in need that I'd love to help.

Me too. I keep looking but it's just not right yet.
If your up for it, I'll give gas money to help the big boy
get to his new home.

It makes me happy to know there's such caring people here on YT. I will keep you posted. I'm looking for the one that makes me go I HAVE TO HAVE HIM! ya know? lol. I wish you luck in your search, too. I can't wait to see the thread posted when Buddy has a new sister. :D:p

Yea, me too. I guess you just know when it's right.
I'm excited about it but really want a smaller one this time.

Oh my god, what a cutie this one is. :)

My biggest issue right now is mainly just how much harder will it get with two. It's so easy for me to bring Jackson places with me and nobody caring. I visit relatives and friends w/ Jackson and they don't mind, ya know? How would they feel if I had two? I always have a dog sitter available when I go away, my dad will take Jackson overnights and while he's a huge animal lover, they've already got two dogs over there and two cats so it's a bit much with five animals, if I got another, it'd make six when I visit over there! whew! I just don't know...

I totally understand what mean about having 2. You're lucky cause Jackson is bigger and can keep up with the bigger dogs. Hot Rod and Maggie basically need each other to rassle with. They can't just hang with the big dogs, even though they think they are, lol. They get to play with each other and keep each other company.

Lol, yeah, definitely! Jackson would LOVE a 24/7 companion for sure. But I'm just not so sure if I'm ready at this point. :( I guess everyone has these doubts though... Jackson's never technically been an "only dog" because with me still living at home, he always had my mom's dog but as you know she passed away. :( I hate seeing him so lonely. I mean, he does fine on his own too but he really does enjoy having another dog around. I just keep going back and forth between it. One that's my responsibility just seems so much easier than two! lol. Who knows! I will keep thinking hard about it. I will be moving out from home in about 1 year hopefully so maybe I should just continue to wait. :(
