Layla is a breeder release. She just turned 7 yrs young this month & weighs 9.9 lbs. She's a gorgeous yorkie with big brown eyes, a silky blonde coat, and a smile that makes your heart melt (Yes..she actually smiles). Layla is extremely affectionate & loves to curl up in my lap. She IS potty trained, uses the doggie door/stairs, gets along well with other animals (including cats) and will make a wonderful addition to someone's home. She has been spayed, had her dental, and up to date on shots. Layla needs a small family/couple/person, without a busy/ hectic lifestyle, that's going to have the time to give her the attention she needs. I feel it's best that she not be placed into a home with small children, but teens should be fine. Her adoption fee is $250. Layla is a cutie pie. :):aimeeyork She sounds like such a sweet dog. Her adoption fee is very reasonable. I hope people don't think twice cause she's 7 years old. That's only middle age in doggie years. :D

I would like to thank all of you for your wonderful comments.:) I, too, hope that she doesn't get overlooked because of her age. Some may not realize that yorkies have a longer life span than most breeds.

One of our board members is taking her, as well as some of our other furbabies, to an adoption event in Austin this weekend entitled "Paws in the Park" (it was rescheduled for this weekend due to rain). Beautiful Blonde Yorkie - Update/Adopted
 

Update: Layla has been adopted! She's now a beach babe in Florida & loving every minute of it.:) She was my first foster & I cried for 2 days straight after she left, but I know she's very happy. Thanks to everyone for your encouraging words & support. I should be getting my next foster soon & I'll post his/her info asap.

Must be hard being a foster mom but you can sleep at night knowing you made a difference. Good luck with your next foster will be looking to see what you get!!

I'm so glad to hear this! She's such a sweet looking little girl. Those of you who foster have my greatest respect. I can't imagine how hard it must be to let them go. But I'm sure it helps to know that now another little one and be helped, and will be kept safe and loved until they find the perfect home. Thank you.
