Dogs needing homes Someone posted this on charlotte's craigslist If anyone needs help with transport and the pup is coming my way(Charlotte, NC) I can help. 45 SMALL dogs need homes! Greenville county animal control had 45 SMALL dogs surrendered to them. They WILL be put down if they can't find homes. I know a lot of people are looking for small dogs so here they are. The shelter is about 1.5 hours from Charlotte, yes its a drive, but its only a one time drive to get that perfect small dog you've been searching for. And yes, they do look a bit ratty, but its not their fault they had a crappy owner that didn't care for them properly. Following is a list of the dogs that need rescue. All appear in good health except that some have hair loss due to the extreme flea infestation in the house. All dogs have been treated for the fleas! *If you cannot see the pictures, please, go to: www.Noahs-Arks.net and click on the purple Greenville Euthanize List Button. *Please email us at: animalcareservices@greenvillecounty.org or call @ Phone: 864-467-3950 We may have transport available—just ask (you do have to pay for transports though) |
I thought the link in the 1st post didn't work but it does. So here it is again :) Noahs Arks Main Page |
That is a sad sight! |
Clicked on the purple euthanize button. Way, way too many furbabies whose time is up. Couldn't continue down the list. It is horrible.:(:(:( |
OMG, I think this is were they euthanize by putting them in a metal box and gassing them. This is a horrible death. I know this was done at the Yadkin county dog shelter. I looked for the video and guess what, its not there. I hope North and South Carolina will step up and help these babies from this horrible death. |
Oh, how utterly depressing. :( I just forwarded this to our NC members. Hopefully someone can help or they will know someone they can forward this to. If I hear anything, will let you all know. |
I hope someone can get to them, they all look so scared. :( |
Yadkin County North Carolina.THIS IS VERY GRAPHIC. This is happening in Michigan, Utah and Oklahoma. |

I will NOT watch that. It is sick and wrong. I have seen many videos on the different ways that animals are "HUMANELY" eutanized, Yeah right. It makes me cry uncontrolably and I can not think of anything else for a long long time after. I couldn't even open the uethanize button because it will be weeks before I get those sweet scared faces out of my mind. I wish there was something that could be done on maybe the level of having laws passed against any kind of eutanizing that is not humane such as gassing. If anyone has any ideas as to where to start I am up for that fight, just never been too knowledgeable on hwere to start these things. :( |
Have barely opened anything except the craigs list add and can't get those babies out of my mind. Wanted to say that at the momnt I could not make that drive but would be willing to foster a couple of those babies if anyone was coming near my way and would be willing to bring them. Not sure what else I could do right now.... :( |
Im so sorry, thats why I wrote Graphic. This county is trying to clean up their act, the Humane Society is feeling the pressure and I know many petitions have been written to stop this. I have been following this story for a while now, but when I saw this thread about the dogs I felt this needs to be shown. I urge everyone not only in North and South Carolina but everyone to find out how do they euthinize in your area. I would also urge everyone in North and South Carolina to help these dogs in need. Inform every organization in your area about the 45 small dogs. |

Oh don't be sorry, I was very greatful that the warning was there. I am (even though I can't watch it) glad that it was posted because I do believe that everyone should see it at least once to know what goes on. I have researched these things before and have seen it already. I believe that there are so many things that happen to animals that we totally blistfully ignorant of. Such as animals being electracuted in large full cages wet down with water, some shelters use poison and yet others will take dogs out and shoot them. I have no clue if these things are legal but I do know they happen every day in shelters that do not have the money to do it the right way. If you search these things you can find video of them all and then some. I always find it a joke when people say "humanley euthanize" My state has 37 gas "chambers" in place. There is some legislation trying to banish it but as of right now it is only banished in 12 states. That in my eyes is totally unacceptable. In Califonia they are changing the wait to put animals in shelters down from 6 days to 3. Sad... I wish there were someone in my area that I could contact to help these babies but Ga is about useless when it comes to helping animals. I have witnessed it first hand several times when I have picked up animals who were in need and had a terrible time finding anyone who cared to help. |

I can't view anything like that so I'll pass. You can blame our government, local and federal, for things like this terrible, horrific, nightmare to continue There are too many dog's being breed today for $$$$$ and they continue to allow innocent pups to suffer. They are far too leinent on puppymillers and BYB. Why? Who knows, maybe they get their share at some point. Makes no sence to me. Every single pet store in the country that sells pups and kittens should be closed! It has to start somewhere and why they are able to continue is BS. IMO I wouldn't go into one for anything. Somehow it's all about money. Think of the taxes paid on these pups. Big money our government would be loosing don't you think? I have no faith in our government or any polititian out there. They are all talk while these poor innocent animals continue to suffer. It's so easy to stop, yet it continues. |
