kuaimee | 06-01-2009 03:02 PM | Yorkie female, Kansas, looking for a FURever home :animal-pa We rescued Ms. Izzie from a family who kept her in a tiny kennel almost all the time. We took her home about 4 months ago as we wanted our other Yorkie to have a playmate while we were at work during the day. Our Yorkie, Tucker, is almost one year old and is very active. Still very much a puppy. Izzie, however, really enjoys lounging around and sitting on mom and dads lap. Izzie went into heat about 3 months ago and started nipping at Tucker, we got her spayed as soon as we could. (She is around one year as well.) Izzie was having some potty issues, just pooping by the door, she would always urinate outside. She is doing a lot better with that not with some strict training and on a strict feeding schedule. The issue she is still having is getting along with Tucker. Tucker always wants to play and Izzie dosen't care much for that. Izzie has become more and more dominate of my husband and I as well as all of their toys. If Tucker takes a toy she may have her eye on, Izzie snaps and Tucker submits. We are very worried about our Tucker and have done everything we can think of to try and fix this situation.
Izzie, is NOT a fan of smaller animals. Izzie is a bigger Yorkie and is very dominate. She would be a PERFECT dog for someone with no other animals. She is super sweet to my husband and I and loves to give kisses and cuddles. Izzie is crate trained during the day and sleeps in our bed at night. (Spoiled, I know.)
We hate to have to adopt her out but for the safety of Tucker, this is our only option. We are looking for someone who can give her a forever home, someone who will love her just as much as we do. Please email me, or PM me with any questions or if you know anyone that would be interested. |
