Little girl needs a loving furever home
 

THIS IS NOT MY DOG - I saw this on Craigslist this morning...so sad...can anyone help this little girl? I'd be willing to help transport...she is currently in Sturgis, KY - which is western KY near Owensboro.

Please help us find a good home for little Gidget. She is approx. 10 months old and she looks like a mix between a minature Schnauzer and a Yorkie. She weights approx. 7 lbs. She is a rescue dog. She was being abused and starved. Her owner didn't want her or feed her. She roamed the neighborhood. My son-in-law saw her and called me to see if I knew anyone who might want a small dog. When I went to pick her up I was shocked. She was skinny, full of ticks and fleas and very scared. I brought her home, gave her a bath, picked over 50 ticks off of her, then took her to a dog groomer. She received another bath and had her nails trimmed. After 2 days of food and lots of love, she is already a different dog. She loves to be held and talked to. She has never growled or tried to snap at me, even while I was pulling ticks off of her. I can't keep her because my husband and I both work and we live in town. I also have 4 cats who arn't very happy right now. She would make the perfect lap dog for anyone. We have had her now for 3 days and I believe she will only get better with time and lots of love. She needs to go to someone who can invest time and vet care as she has never been to a vet or had any shots. I will be willing to drive part of the way to meet someone if needed. She sure is a little cutie! Personally I do not think she looks part schnauzer :confused: I hope that someone in the IN/KY area can help give her a loving home. :(
