Poor Male no-named Yorkie in Animal Control - PG County, MD 1 Attachment(s) There is no info on this Yorkie posted on PetFinder but I think I am going to call tomorrow to find out. This is pretty close to me where I live. I can't really afford another dog right now and I know nothing about this dog but I wanted to post on here... Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: A310492: Petfinder For dogs $15 For cats $10 License (for PG residents) $25 for unaltered dogs and cats License (for PG residents) $5 for altered dogs and cats Microchip fee $15 for dogs and cats All animals adopted from the Animal Management Facility are spayed and neutered before they leave. Spay/Neuter (alter) fee: $60 for male dogs $70 for female dogs $25 for male cats $40 for female cats Poor little fella. He looks so scared! As I said, I know nothing about this dog but will call tomorrow. I probably can't have a 2nd dog right now, BUT, if someone was interested in adopting, I could pick up the dog for someone. Forestville, MD is where located. |
awww poor lil guy... I hopew he gets a great forever home |
I Hope you're able to give him a home, He's really dear...Where I live the Animal Shelter charges $300.00 for pure-bred dogs, even the ones that they get from Puppy Mill Raids. I wish they had lower adoption fees so that PM dogs could be placed quicker into forever homes. |

I'm really interested to see what this little guy is like, his personality, age, weight, altered/unaltered, etc so I'm going to give a call in the AM and find out. Then I may go there and visit. I hate visiting these Animal Control kind of places though, looking at all the dogs barking and knowing they will be put down soon. :( It's about a 30 minute drive there from where I live. IF I were to adopt him, he definitely needs to get along with kids and with my boy, Jackson. :) So we shall see. I will keep everyone updated! |
Oh geez... what a sad looking little face :( |
Poor little guy. Keep us updated and I hope that you are able to find the perfect home for him. |
Ah, he really does look scared. His ears have been tipped so someone has had him groomed. He is probably used to being a part of someone's family. I wonder what sad story brought him to the animal control? Poor baby! If you can help him, that would be wonderful. I do hope someone will provide him a good home. I am surprised he got advertised. Most shelters have a waiting list for small dogs, like a Yorkie, especially if they look purebred. |
1 Attachment(s) I called twice today, both times with no answer! I will try again tomorrow, they are open tomorrow from 10am-4. There are now TWO yorkies there. Listing Removed - Petfinder Pet Notes |

Please never assume that a yorkie that is in a shelter will be easily adopted and that there are waiting lists because that just is not always the care. I have to say that here in suburban Chicago NO thankfully cannot find a yorkie in a shelter ever and if by chance you do they are always gone in a heart beat. So if anyone that is reading this has the ability to foster in this area or any other area of the country PLEASE consider volunteering to be a foster mom. :( There are yorkies dying in shelters every day. |
