I have an update from Foster Mom and this poor little guy is probably so confused right now. He's been doing so well with his physical recovery and his emotional progress has been phenominal .... he just soaks all the TLC up! I'm sure he's wondering why in the world he is in pain. I can only imagine the pain his FM is feeling also ... he has a very special place in her heart! This is what she wrote:

"Trooper came home last night. His jaw has four wires holding it together. His face is very swollen. His stools are very loose. He was pretty groggy last night so he spent the evening next to me on the couch asleep in his bed, then spent the night in his x-pen. He still hasn't eaten and it's important that I get something into him. He is only able to eat gruel so I will be picking up some broth shortly for him. His mouth is bleeding some and the poor guy looks absolutely dreadful. I put him in my bed early this morning wrapped in a blanket because he was shaking. I think the shaking was pain or fear, or both. I don't think he was cold."

Please keep this sweet baby in your prayers and his FM as well. God bless you all for caring.

OMG! That just breaks my heart! I wish I could take and scoop him up and give him *gentle* kisses!

Wow, poor little guy. Shaking can also happen when they're hypoglycemic...but he was probably in pain & scared. I so admire the foster parents, so strong. Speedy recovery Trooper!

Hello Bettye, any new news on Trooper? I haven't been online much recently but I've sure had him in my prayers and have been thinking of him wondering how he's doing.

UPDATE on Mill rescues ....
 
... they are finally getting ready for loving, forever homes! We now have pics and bio's on most of them on our website: www.yorkierescuecolorado.com

These babies have made surprising adjustments and healed wonderfully ... thanks to loving, caring foster Mom's & Dads! :thumbup::thumbup: If you know anyone who wants to adopt, please direct them to our site?

We also have a Memorial/Tribute to our precious Founder/President, who we lost to cancer on June 18th.

Bettye, Thanks for the update. Glad to hear that the "pups' are doing well:). Wonder just how many will be adopted by their foster mom/dad. Sad to hear about Trish's passing:sad:. Bob

You're welcome, Bob! Actually, I believe a couple will be adopted by their foster Mom/Dad. We, of course, have certain criteria for them to be able to adopt but any of the volunteers that we have now would make excellent forever homes. Most of them want to keep space in their homes to foster without being crowded and also want to be able to focus on the little babies that will be coming after these.

Thank you! We intend to carry on with YRC in Trish's memory.

May Trish rest in peace. She was a good person and I know how much she loved yorkies and this rescue she started. I know she will be watching over all of you and the rescue will do well with help from all of the angels. I am a firm believer that when you do the right thing for God's creatures, everything comes together.

Thank you all so much. I can't remember when I have spent such long, empty days. I have plenty that needs to be done but can't seem to get myself going. Patrick and I are going over to Trish's this afternoon to play with her little Yorkie "pack" for awhile. That always cheers us up!! :)
