Im going there at noon today thats when they open,theres 4 other people ahead of me to get her and im going to speak to someone to have her fixed first before they release her,we are expecting snow today and she not available until monday,so im hoping no one will come lets all pray this happens.im so worried for her. |

Why do you have to go back tomorrow??? Did you complete paperwork today?? Was anyone else there before you? Are you still on the list, or do you get her now?? I sound like a little kid, huh? lol I want to donate as well for her adoption. Please give us more info. I want to take her, but helping this way is comforting. My heart broke when I saw her. she looks just like a yorkie and her hair is just like a yorkie,she was found in the parking lot of the post office and she is three years old abount 7 pounds and really sweet,theres a list and im on it,they told me to come at noon tomorrow,there is the lady that found thats on top of the list,she acually been visiting her,im still going also and they will spay her before she leaves |
That is interesting if she really is around 3 years old as very few breeders had a US born biewer in 2006. They just started coming into this country in 2005 and there were only about maybe 300 (I think this is high) in 2006. In order to import a Biewer in 2005/6 etc they had to be tatooed. Thanks for the info and lets just hope this little girl finds the home of her dreams. |

I agree with Living Dustmops that those of us that have Biewers would be interested in the microchip information. And any further information that might reveal either the previous owner or the breeder. This is so sad. |
I am justing getting back to this post, I apologize. I hope someone got this cute little dog - if not please let me know ASAP I am off today and will go over to the shelter and check on her. If someone did get her and needs anything please let me know, I have an extra crate and all kinds of extra puppy/dog supply. Thank you, Cheryl |
You can go over there but at noon the lady that found her is to be there at noon to pay for her,she is to be spayed tomorrow and there are four other people on there list that wants her,i signed up also ,but i have no gas or money to get her,the staff told me that the lady that found her has been visiting her and playing with her every day and they reminided me of this several times that she loves this dog and wants her so im going to call the shelter at noon to make sure that she came. |

Oh it sounds like she has found a home and if not there are back ups. I am happy for the dog. If my chance you get the an opportunity to adopt her and need some help with getting to the shelter please let me know, I can help out. I wonder why the lady who originally found her surrendered her to the shelter? I am sure there is a reason someone can explain to me. Maybe I am just wrong and a little selfish but I probably would have kept her in my home and attempted to find her owner myself. If someone can explain the shelter surrender to me I would appreciate it. Also remember -- I am a first time dog owner of 6 months so I don't really understand all the proceddures other than I love my dog and want to take good care of her. |

I do feel better by going there and seeing her and that she is wanted by someone that loves her and im so happy that she is getting spayed,im going to call the shelter to make sure she showed up. |
Oh that is a very GOOD points on taking a found dog to the shelter. 1. Make sure it is healthy and up to date on their shots and 2. Where most people would go to find a lost pet. I am so thankful for Yorkie Talk, I swear I would have never made it through the first 6 months of SophieKates life without reading and researching on this Website. |
I just talked to the shelter the ladys there and also gave the staff the yorkie talk address so she can update us on her progress,i hope they give it to her,there really kind there so i feel it will happen.:cheer::cheer::cheer: |

Yorkie for adoption OMG, she definetly looks like a Biewer, when she is groomed, she will be beautiful.I live way to far to even help her, but I hope someone close by will take her, I bet when they take her and see how beautiful she is after a grooming,they will want to keep her. |
about the yorkie I just posted and went back to look at her and she has been adopted, how wonderful. There are a lot of people that love these little bundles of joy, this made my day. |

Many of the Biewers that were imported in 2005 were inserted with ISO chips. Our scanners cannot read them. I wonder if the shelter felt to see if she did have a chip in her. They would have to be informed that it is an ISO chip and would need that particular scanner. Many of us had to micro chip our Biewers so they could be scanned. |
