Is anyone close to him?? |
He has been at the shelter since Jan 27th. They do euthanize, but also have an adoption program, and try to save as many as they can. If anyone is close to this shelter, please PM me. Let's see if we can find someone to help him!! |
Maybe we should post this in GF asking for a Yt train to megansmomma??? |

Not sure she can foster him. I will if anyone in that area would fly him to me. Or a transport. Either way. IF someone will fly him, I will pay for their air fare. I did send this to a group in IN and am hoping to hear back from them. |
5 hours isn't far! Lol! Just kidding Megansmomma! It is quite a hike if you dont live in a huge State like TX! Lets get him to Texas he will find a great home here. I can take the days off to fly round trip Lady Jane if all you need is someone to go get him! I'm sure we can find a cheap SW ticket! |
I know there are a few members that live in IN that might be willing to help too. There several yorkie rescues in IN but this is almost in the KY. It's right on the boarder of IN and KY. |

If there is something in my power that I can do to help I will! |
Wow!!! You guys are AMAZING!!! Bless your hearts! I am so happy this little guy is going to have a second chance at life. I am seriously in tears here because I didn't know amazing people like you all were out there! BLESS YOU ALL!!!! :) |
I spoke with the people at the shelter and he is on a hold for us. The man assured me that he is safe and he does not believe he is in any pain. Instead of TX, I believe he is going to a foster home in Illinois. We are working on a transport. |
I have posted in the Region and General forums and nobody has responded to help get him to at least the end of I65 :( Can anyone help us????? Please :animal36 |

Pretty please with stawberries and sugar on top! :) |
You need to see if there is someone near Louisville, Ky -- because I just looked at the map and that is the closest big city - that town is almost in Kentucky. Maybe you should also post in the regional forums. If he was in my path, I would definitely help get him to Texas |
We are trying to get him to Illinois...not Texas! |
Unbelievable what MegansMomma is going through to try to get this little guy up to the Chicago area. Tried to fly there but Southwest does not allow any animals on their planes. Then she decided to fly there and rent a car to drive back...no rental cars available because there is a convention!!! The guy at the shelter said this poor little guy cannot stay there a lot longer. She is emailing many groups...and did get one response from a Maltese group that said they will try to find someone to help her. We are just trying to find someone to transport part of the way....anything would be a help...one hour..two hours! If you have ANY ideas, please, please message one of us. |
There was someone on her other thread that said they lived south of Louisville - but was willing to help out by driving part way. Did she PM him/her? |

1 Attachment(s) The little pup is fine....very thin and dirty and does have some leg issues. I am thinking it might be similar to a condition we had with another. With him, it was muscle contractures that he was born with....the legs did not bend. From Jodi's description, this little one might have the same thing. We will wait and see what the vet says...she is taking him tomorrow. Here is the pic she sent from her cell...as you can see, he is in need of grooming..she said he keeps his little head held down..poor little man is probably terrified. I am SO glad he is with her! Megan said he looks like a muppet...hahah...so I am calling him that until Jodi gives him a name. Here's Muppet :D.... Attachment 264870 |
Poor guy - I am so glad she was successful in reaching him in time. He has no idea how is fortunate just turned! Can't wait to see how a good grooming transform him. May he become instilled with the cocky confidence of being a great yorkie! |
