Rescue in OH Has anyone heard of Painted Acres Animal Rescue in Zaleski, OH? They have a yorkie I am considering adopting and I just wanted some information about them since I have not heard of them. I googled but didn't come up with much. So I guess no news is good news. |
Sorry I haven't heard of them but hopefully someone who has will see this,. Good luck!! |
no news is good news i suppose. |
After some research and contacts it was found that these dogs are living in bad conditions . So if anyone knows of a rescue or a person willing to take in Buffy the yorkie-she needs someone to get her. At the present time I feel it would be very irresponsible of me to adopt her and it is found out she has a condition that has a high price tag. As the dogs have only had a 7 way shot  and I was told Buffy has a spay and dental coming up but the "rescue" is willing to adopt her out WITHOUT being spayed first  THIS is an URGENT situation. |
UYR has OH members....maybe you could contact them? |
|
Yes TLC that is them but the yorkie is only listed on petfinder here Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: Buffy: Petfinder I spoke with Barbara and as of yesterday Buffy is still available. I have contacted UYR , no word yet. |
She is a BEAUTY! WOW - Hard to pass up :( I know www.rescumeyorkie.com has ppl in Ohio too! Maybe since you've spoken to Barbara already, you can contact Jen at Rescue Me and see what they can do  |
Why on there site it says $85 adoption fee but on petfinder she is $200.00 |
We have a spay/neuter clinic here, if she could get here I can get the spay done and then find a foster or adoptive family for her. I can't bring her to my home because of my dogs. Home |
I did not realize that this is a rescue (or shall I say, they call themselves that). I just looked at her bio. Are you proposing to those people that they turn her over to another rescue? Normally rescues require you to sign an adoption agreement that you will be the person keeping the dog. This is all confusing to me. It really is disturbing that they would adopt her out without spaying her. She just came from a puppy mill. Poor little thing. I hate spay/neuter contracts...if someone wanted to get her for breeding, they would not care about that $50 refund. Just totally depressing. I noted that someone said they would get her, get her spayed and then find a foster home for her. Please be aware that puppy mill dogs often have multiple health issues. I am quite sure that she is in dire need of a dental. It says she is not social and that is another issue that many people do not want to work with. I really feel sad for this one..she is a little doll and deserves the best. I hope that someone wonderful will step up for her. I would take her in a heartbeat but don't know how to get her down to the Houston area. |
I was made aware of the fact that she has in the past turned over some of her dogs to another rescue because she could not properly care for them. I would take her in a heartbeat but I am just so scared that she could have some underlying health conditions. At the end of the month she will be $250 because apparently on Nov. 30 she will have a dental and get spayed. |
If she is willing to turn her over, that would be wonderful! Poor little darling needs someone who knows the breed to help her. |
I just spoke with a rescue friend of mine in OH who referred me to another rescue that has pulled dogs from this place. I sent them an email .. hopefully, they will help her. If I hear, I will let everyone know. |
I am hoping that someone can pull her and let everyone know she has made it into a loving home and getting her spay/dental done. |
