BABSY-3 yr F-6lb-$275 Jacksonville FL-petfinder 3 Attachment(s) THIS IS NOT MY DOG-PETFINDER LISTING ******************************** Adopt a Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie: BABSEY: Petfinder I was welcomed into the rescue and my angel's loving arms on July 3, 2007. My name is Babsey. I am a beautiful 6 pound, 3 year old, blue and gold Yorkshire Terrier girl. I was born on January 18, 2005 I am a retired breeder. I love everyone I meet and will jump right into your arms. Mom says I remind her of the energizer bunny, whatever that means. The more cuddle time I have, the happier I am. I really think all of the pupsters here are really neat and join them in playtime without a blink of an eye. Toys, what are they??? Mom and Dad are my toys! I am having occasional cluster seizures, but my holistic veterinarian is working on clearing the cause of my seizures. I am currently on medications and Mom and Dad are monitoring me closely. I will need a stay at home Mom/Dad so that I can continue my housetraining at my forever home. I definitely need a fenced in yard to explore. I am too tiny to be in a home with children. I will need to find my forever home in the Jacksonville area so that I can continue my treatment for seizures. Because of my seizures, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy chicken & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet at nutrition. To supplement my healthy raw diet, Mom adds NuVet Plus Vitamins for a complete balanced meal of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on my Oma's Pride raw diet. I am working on my house training and do well during grooming. Please click on Babsey's Video Clip to see me in action! I am Spayed, UTD on shots, tested HW-, on Heartworm Preventative and Flea Protection. My adoption donation is $275. I am fostering in Jacksonville, FL. If you would like to see what our pupsters are up to on a daily basis please visit our Foster Journal. Also our online application is available on our website. This pet is up to date with routine shots. This pet has been altered.

Peke A Tzu Rescue
Jacksonville, FL
COMPLETE APPLICATION
|
Judgemental Rescue Group... :mad:I tried to get information about this Yorkie last night. I saw him on Pet Finders. Peke A Tzu Rescue has a disclaimer on Pet Finders that says they will not give any specific information about their animals without a complete adoption filled out. I complied and filled out the app. Babsey has seizures and is not housebroken. I know this when I 'applied'. I completed the application thinking I could talk to the Foster to understand the severity of the medical condition and then make a decision if I could or should rescue this dog. If I couldn't adopt him I very well could have 'sponsored' him. Because I did not complete part of their application regarding what dog health problems or behavioral issues I would or would not work with- my application was immediately declined.. in fact..Here is the EXACT reply I received(I have copied and pasted verbatim): Thank you Sandy and Rich for your application. You have placed an application for Babsey who is not house trained and has seizures, but you have indicated that you are not willing to work with either. We will not be processing your application based on the above. Sincerely, Jan Collins Peke A Tzu Rescue Peke A Tzu Rescue I did not indicate that I would not work with a pet that has issues as they imply. Did these people call me to inquire if I had overlooked that part of their interrogation, did they call me to inquire if maybe I'd like to talk to them further about Babsey's issues, did they check my Vet reference, my personal references, or call my groomer??? NO NO NO NO and NO again... I don't know who these rescue groups think they are. Here I am a responsible pet owner. Someone who wants to rescue a pet. One who just lost a 16 yr old former rescue with multiple medical problems so I know a little bit about caring for an ailing pet and they don't even give me the courtesy of a phone call. These groups have to be missing opportunities to place these very needy pets in great homes because of their cavalier and judgemental attitudes. All I wanted was to talk to someone to make an inquiry. They have really torqued me! I'll continue to give to my local humane society. Sorry Rescue Groups- you don't deserve my time or my money..... I'm most sorry for all of the animals especially Yorkies who so desperately want a fur-ever home... |
Oh I'm sorry this happened to you :( If I was REALLY interested, I would try again...Can you get a hold of a phone number? I know it's aggravating, but it's about the dog, not the person who sent the email. Bless you for trying. |
Rescues... Thanks for your post Tammy... You're right is all about the animals... they should have realized this! I wrote Jan Collins personally last night to tell her how disgusted and disappointed I was with her organization. Maybe they learned something from their mistake... Someone- (with a fence !!!:)) will give Babsey the home he deserves... Love your babies!!! Sandy... Hope you'll visit my RIP to my Tigger Too. Tigger Too's Last Flight. I lost my 16 year old last Monday... Warning.... you'll need Kleenex!! |
2 Attachment(s) If you don't like the way they responded to your application just move on and don't let this bother you so much. . There are so many dogs in need and many great rescues looking for homes for these babies. Please don't let their responce stop you from doing such a wonderful thing for a little furbutt. Before I had any of my three I went to our local shelter and they wouldn't even let us look at yorkie they had. My daughter was only 12 at the time and so I was immediately ruled out as being a good home. I was told to look at the big dogs~we didn't want a big dog we wanted something small. :thumbdown After that, I was so ticked off that we went to the pet shop and looked:eek: but I knew that was not what we wanted to do. I applied for a few different dogs and then along came Pebbles. :) This past summer I found Doodlebug at a rescue in OH :)and Bogey I found right here on YT:D. JillandJack a member here on YT posted about him. He is from a shelter that her sister runs in LaPorte IN. He was a mess when we brought him home and now he is turning into a beautiful morkie! Please don't give up on rescue. It takes a very special person to want to adopt! I wish there was more people like you to want to love a pup unconditionally just like they do to us! {HUGS} Here are their pictures 1. Pebbles 2. Doodlebug 3. Bogey |

I am very sorry to hear of your lose. It is always so very sad to lose one of our little furbutts. It seems to me that you are a wonderful owner that will make room in your heart to take in that perfect pup. I strongly believe that these things happen for a reason and I will beat that you will find the perfect addition sooner than you think. {HUGS} |
Oh I hear ya! Maybe a few more letters to this "concerned rescue" person would help. I have rescued several, from our LOCAL PAWS.....which I might add.....is NOT my favorite place. So, I recommend staying right here..........we will help you find a baby. |

JaxYorkieGirl, Did you see this one? F in the Miami-Dade Animal Services (Please Help Her) I know you're looking for a light colored male, but this little girl is in your state and in a kill shelter. I know you'd give her a good home. Just thought I'd point her out to you. Tammy |
