Dolly's Babies...What do you think?
 

Okay everyone. My name is Donna. I posted my 1st thread in the general.."Any Foster or Adoptive Rescue Parents Out There"....

Please check out my previous posts for Dolly's story. It's relative, but I want to get all of this out to you before any more time goes by. Unfortunately several days have passed due to a fundraiser and some neglected horses.

I work for Artex Animal Welfare Association. Dolly is my rescue and my foster....She was spade !!!!! today!!!! She is, we belive, a Puppy Mill Breeder "Bitch" (sorry- hate that word no matter what)

So last week, I was in Petsmart. A Yorkie puppy was visiting in the arms of an 8 year old girl with her mother. I went over and introduced myself.....Can't help it people......I asked if I could hold the little Yorkie Pup...The woman said "Oh so it is a Yorkie? We weren't sure.....We only payed $100 for him" Then she told me when she drove up to the place her only thought was "Oh what have we gotten ourselves into" When I asked where she got him for that price. She told me and it was just 2-3 blocks from where I picked up Dolly.......The puppy they were told was 15 weeks old...... I couldn't even begin to guess. But he was terrified!!!!!

I have not had a chance to contact these people to see if they have any more....And I, of course, don't have on hand the money needed if there are....But could have in a couple of days if needed.....

Does anyone have any suggestions......I have not seen this place....... but due to Dolly.......I am sure it is a Puppy Mill......HELP what should I do.

We, as a rescue are not capable of a raid....Nor do we have enough help locally with other rescues.....Any advise would be appreciated.....I will check the paper and see if I can spot the ad and will try to forward it on.

My husband and I currently have 5 dogs (2 Yorkies) of our own, 2 Foster dogs and I am caring for 2 mares, a stud and a colt at the local fairgrounds....


I will be happy to work as a holding home for any babies if needed. Will need help with foster and transport if anyone is interested...

What was the town, she got the yorki puppy in? just courious, this sounds way to familier.

Could you contact another Yorkie Rescue for some advice? I know that there are several rescues in TX. Joanne

Sorry, haven't had a chance to get on lately. We live in Texarkana AR. The little community is just outside. We have several puppy mills in this area, but i don't want to take the chance and alert any as to what is going on. It you would like more details please pm me.
