They are all under the age of 2. 3 yorkies. Ages under 4. 2 mini dauschund's. Both male 2 maltese. Both male. These animals are free. If homes are not found, they will go to ARL. These animals are not housetrained. They all need current shots. * Location: DM * it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests PostingID: 800588705 --------------------------------------------- I have already emailed them - I'm hoping I can go take pictures - I'm wondering if they have been in kennels since they re not housebroken. Can someone please crosspost this on maltesetalk - I'm not a member |
Wow that's only 11, hope they don't find out about some of our members. :D Seriously, I hope they can find good homes for these dogs, if she's a hoarder, they may have been living in the home, and not in kennels. I can't imagine someone not trying to housebreak these dogs; they don't like living in conditions like that. |
Where is DM? Did she get rid of all the dogs? |

I just got an email - back, it seems the dogs, belong to the posters grandmother. She said they will be screening applicants, but didn't say how; and that they are setting appts for Tuesday. I wrote her back, so I'll wait and see what else I can find out about the dogs. I suggested that I belong to a large group of yorkie owners and perhaps I could help them find new homes |
I'm not sure what happened - but everytime I tried to respond to this gal's email, it bounced back to me, saying the email address did not exist. I am hoping since she does have my first email, that I will hear from her again. The posting is no longer showing up on craigslist when I go to pets, but if I click on the link above it still shows up  Did anyone else e-mail her?? |
Is it possible the whole thing was a scam? Those dogs are all rather popular and expensive. How would she obtain them all? On the other hand, since they did mention they weren't house broken, why would they do that if it was a scam? I'm confused. |
I doubt it was a scam, they aren't current on shots, or housebroken. What I wonder is if they were swamped with email or if people were writing to condemn the situation  I would really like to hear from her again to know what happens - I'm also going to see if I can track this gal down - I've got means to find people in Iowa, and if this is her real name in the email, I hope to know more |
Kind of sounds funny she calls her self a hoarder??? and purebreds- I thought they usually had mixs-strays- but it could be! Just a little different:rolleyes: It wouldn't be a scam- no money asked?? Hope you find out more- and all the dogs get new, nice homes! |
No the craigslist post was by the granddaughter of the hoarder - sounds like the family is trying to take control of a situation - and the other reason I don't think this is a scam, is that they are taking the dogs to the Animal Rescue League if they don't place them. It did cross my mind that they might just end up taking the dogs to the rescue rather than deal with all the email response they may have received. So, I'll be checking the ARL website - little dogs usually go quick there, but without being housebroken who knows |
Any updates on this? |
It says now that the author of the posting deleted it. Maybe they found homes for all of them or took them to the rescue facility? |
