Ohmygosh! I'm on the phone with Kelly right now and we're going to call and inquire about them tomorrow but according to the website, we only have 4 days! If they really are going to be euthanized.. OKYR can take them.. we have foster homes lined up but the only thing is we don't have any way to get them here. Is there anyone close to Amarillo willing to take in these two puppies for a couple of days until we can come get them? :(

OMG...Im all the way in Georgia...If I were closer I would help..I could foster them...If by some chance they get closer to me I will take them!!!!

How sad!!! I wish I was closer!!! I've been looking for a baby for my aunt. She is retired and lost my uncle two yrs ago. She's been wanting one for ages!:(

I have a good feeling about those little yorkies - that's shocking to read at the top though - how much 'space' can a little dog take up ? :(

I know, that was my thoughts too Vee, just how much space could they possibly be taking up?

If someone nearby could just pick them up and keep them a day or so until someone from the rescue could get them, please????

I think Diana is starting a thread about this BUT... we have a foster mom all lined up... we just need someone in the Amarillo area to get them & one of us rescue members here in OK (Ok Yorkie Rescue) is going to take them... we just need a little help from you Texans :D

We're trying !! Carol had a good idea to email the shelter and I just sent one too - I wish I were closer - I'm really REALLY far from that area -

CROSSPOST THIS TO OTHER SITES !!! They can't kill those poor dogs - they just can't. Too many people want yorkies these days - I don't understand why they aren't already in a good home :(

We have called & talked to them this morning... they ARE scheduled to be pts on Friday so we are trying to get someone in the area to pick them up for us. We will probably call them later today or tomorrow once we come up with a plan.

Ok... so, I just spoke with Kathy (Katrn) she is going tomorrow morning to pick them up then I will meet up with her in Weatherford at 3:00 to pick them up from her. Then... off to their foster momma (or Kelly, they need vet visits) then up & available for adoption YAY US.... we will update everyone tomorrow on how things are going!!!!

Just saw this thread, if there is anything else that needs to be done I am willing to help. I am in South Texas but I have some friends close to Amarillio ;) that are really awesome people! It would take me an entire day to drive but I would be willing to help!

Everything went smoothly.. Kathi picked them up from Amarillo, and Angi picked them up from HER and is taking them to Jen, their new foster home. Everyone says they are adorable! I'm sure Angi or Jen will post here later tonight with updates and tons of pictures! :)
