Chloe is in Des Moines. She isn't mine, but she may possibly have found a home - read my post from yesterday above. I may know more this week

Got your message...

Chloe is still looking for a home! I am asking around, but I wanted to bump this up in case anyone else was interested in her :) She looks like a very sweet girl!

Chloe is Available

I wanted everyone to know that this little sweetie still needs a home.

The vet's office called me this morning (sorry work has prevented me from updating sooner) -- apparently Chloe spent the weekend with a friend of family member to someone who works at the vet's office. The gal at the vet called this morning and said it was not a good fit or the right home for Chloe. Turned out that this woman thought she wanted Chloe but that she works very long hours and thought she could just let Chloe outside twice a day

The gal at the vet office has been taking Chloe home every night & she said Chloe has not had any accidents. Apparently Chloe had never been on a leash before, so she is learning. And that is going well, as she enjoys being outside.

Also, as I noted before Chloe definitely needs a dental, but the gal at the vet's office, said to me she didn't know why they couldn't do the dental before she went to the right home - so this may be covered. :)

Please let me know if you are interested in this girl.

I hope that Chloe finds a home soon. She's such a sweet looking girl and deserves only the best!

:jump28ib:YIPEE!!!! :jump28ib:
Chloe has a home...I think! :)

Emma and Milli's doggie-sitter is going to adopt little Chloe!

:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

We're going to visit her tomorrow afternoon, and then we'll find out if she'll be joining the daycare pack, as a permanent member! I can't wait to meet her!

Such exciting news!! Suzy took her pet sitter to see Chloe today and it looks like this girl has a new home!!

But she's not there yet. -- Seems the vet is out of town and the gal at the vet office didn't know if she would be able to get a hold of the vet and didn't want to let Chloe go without speaking with the vet first. So Suzy & her sitter left. After they left I got a call from the vet's office, asking me if I could call Suzy and ask them to turn around and come back, as the vet was ok with Chloe going to this new home.

But Suzy wouldn't answer her phone, even though I kept calling repeatedly  -- by the time I got Suzy she was just leaving the sitter's house.

So, I called the vet office back -- I think the gal at the office may take Chloe over to her new home tonight.

And then.......hopefully, this new yorkie owner will join YT!! :)

Yeah yea... ;) I was DRIVING on the highway at the time...and I DID answer the phone on the 3rd try :) We were already half way home by the time you called the first time, and with all of today's "yorkie ambassador" events, I needed to get back to work. :D My sitter has told all of her daycare dogs' parents that she is adopting little Chloe-and I have had a few calls from them being all excited about the new addition too :) I can't wait-Emma and Milli get to meet Chloe on Friday!

Those :rolleyes: - were for me not you :p -- I'm such a goose, I kept calling :p thinking you were on the interstate & couldn't hear your phone!

That and I was so excited Chloe had found a home :D

The vet's office is so relieved!

I am so happy little Chloe has found her forever home. Congratulations to the new owner and I hope we see her here on YT. And some pictures too!

wemple2 04-26-2008 06:37 PM

I just love a happy ending. Amen

yorkiesmiles 04-26-2008 06:52 PM

it is great! Suzy saw Chloe yesterday in her new home. She thinks it will work. Chloe had a hair cut before she left the vet - so I am anxious to see pictures too. How fun it was to see this girl find a home - she went from being an only dog with an older owner to be part of a pack of dogs now with this gal that does doggie daycare in her own home - big change, but Suzy thinks she is adapting easily :)

Thank You

for the update Yorkiesmiles! I am glad she is doing so well and am anxious to see pics of her new haircut.

SugarMama 04-26-2008 07:39 PM

Yeah! I'm so happy for that she found her new forever home. I can't wait to hear lots of stories about her with her new family and see pics of her new 'do. You are all such wonderful people for helping this special doggy find her new family.

YorkieShadow 04-26-2008 08:30 PM

Im so glad to hear she found a home, It just breaks my heart to hear any dog needing a home but when I hear their older its so much sader.

Chloe is doing great! Emma and Milli went to play with her @ daycare on Friday. I heard they all got along wonderfully-they needed to sniff each other out and each find their place, but it seems they all understand each other :) Chloe was curious about me, and I think (?) maybe remembered me from a few days before because she came over to say hi and give kisses before I left with my two. She is a friendly furgirl-but a little shy, which is understandable. She's getting to know her new family and the "rules" there-and it's got to be a HUGE change to go from being an only dog to having several playmates of all sizes and breeds with you each day. But, I am sure she'll find comfort in knowing that she doesn't have to go home with anyone...she IS home :)

When Emma first started going to this sitter, she had a lab named Shadow who was the sweetest, most patient dog ever. She understood that she was the queen :) and that she would stay-everyone else would come and go, but she knew she was top dog. She was a big dog, but so gentle and kind to all of the others-big and small. She would protect the little ones, and play with the big ones. She accepted the young puppies and showed them the way, but wasn't afraid to put them in their place if they needed it :) Our sitter did all she could to give Shadow the best life she could, but Shadow was getting older and ill, and left her people and her dog friends last summer. I wasn't sure our sitter was ever going to have another dog of her own-her heart was always with Shadow. In time, I think her heart has healed-and she is ready to love and care for another dog of her own. When the story of Chloe came along, I received calls and emails about her, wondering if she'd yet found a home-and I knew that our sitter was wanting to adopt little Chloe. I think that this was a great match for both of them-they needed each other, they both have a lot of love to give, and and I hope they can bring each other the peace and happiness they both deserve.

Yes! This is awesome news!

Bizzymammabee 04-27-2008 01:51 PM

Oh gosh this is such a happy story. Thank you to all the YT members that made this possible. Keep up the good work guys. Maybe we can all become the YT Rescue.

Hugs to you all. This just reminded me yet again why I love YT and so many of it's members that make up our family here.
