I need some help. I did not want to post this on the boards, but I need some help. Since I got Izzy Ive found out Im going to be traveling a good bit until July. I dont have anyone for her to stay with while Im gone. My husband cannot take the time out of building his business to play with her and take her out to potty and give her the time and attention she needs. My husband and I have had a talk about the best thing to do for her. He has not bonded with her at all. I have been trying to find a solution for several days on what I can do with her. Im even having dreams about what to do, it is really stressing me out. My husband thinks if I should find her a new home and I some what agree. So if you think you might have a place for her please pm me. I gave 1200.00 for her and thats what I would take for her, I am not trying to make a profit. I know Im an awful person. Im logging off, I cant bare this. |
I'm sorry. You're not an awful person...so don't ever say that about yourself again, OK? There may be a solution. You'll be traveling until July? Maybe if you asked around someone on here could watch her for you. She is your baby...and I'm sure your hubby is a wonderful guy, but if you want to keep her then she's yours to keep (unless he was allergic to her or something harmful, but he's not I'd imagine). Its fine if he hasn't bonded with her, but you have so he can't imagine how much this is hurting you, because he doesnt understand the love and attachment you have. Ask around and maybe someone would be willing to babysit her for you for a few months. Could that help? Best of luck to you! |
Bless your heart. I can feel your pain in your post, so first...hugs. Okay, now take a deep breath. I'm sure there will be a solution. I am praying for you. Like Megan said, maybe there's another option here. If not, I'm sure you will do what is best for her. |
You're not a bad Mommie at all. You're trying to do what's best for Izzy. I agree with the others who have posted saying that someone on here might be able to keep her for you. Best of luck, Sweetie! Hugs! |
July is a few months away....maybe you'll find a solution before then. How long will you be gone and how often? I see you have other dogs, what is going to happen to them? It is a tough thing to go through and I hope you can find a way to keep her. If I was closer, I'd offer to help watch her. |

I hope you find someone to watch Izzy... |
I am so sorry. Hopefully you can find a good home quickly. |
I know this must be so difficult for you, but keep this thread going, or maybe even post in General where more can see, I'm sure someone could babysit for you. Sheilagh |
Gee, If I was closer- I'd watch her for you!!I live in MO, though!! I know you are sad!! but it sounds like she would be lonley with all that is going on in your life!! will you be back and forth?? It would be some $$$, but a trainer?? I am just brain surfing!! It will work out!! In it's own time- the right thing will pop right up!! Maybe I can get Bf to move down there so I can baby sit for you!!!!!LOL What about her breeder?? sometimes they will help rehome!! Best wishes for you all!!! |
I'm over in Jacksonville Florida and would be happy to watch her for you while you're traveling if we're close enough to you. :^) |

Thanks for all the kind words , I really appreciate it. I will be traveling every weekend until July this is not vacations, I am traveling with my nephew I am like his Mom, hes only 12. I have explored several options and keep going over this in my head. I just cant bare to think of letting someone keep her for four months and then going and taking her from the people who have just loved and cared for her during that time, I dont think its fair to them or Izzy or the caretaker, but on the same note it is just the nicest thing in the world for people to open thier homes to a help someone out. Izzy is precious and I know I will have a hard time letting her go but I also will have piece of mind that she will have a stable home unlike what she would have here for the next few months. Thank you |
Oh and about my other dogs. They are outside doggies and my husband is outside with them from dusk til dawn. |
14 hours :) Hi. My yorkie puppy, Piper, is only 9 months old. We are traveling 14 hours for spring break...in the car. Any tips??? :animal-pa -piper owner-:animal-pa :wavey: |
