Pet purse/carrier I've been scouring the internet for a nice looking, stylish-but-functional pet carrier for Billi. It seems everything is either too big, too cheesy looking or doesn't have any pockets. And if it is nice looking, it's $150-200. I'm looking for something that looks like a regular purse, maybe black or tan or something (just not hot pink with fur trim & cherries, or dog bones or whatever on it. Not that there's anything wrong with that , just not my personal everyday style) that also has pockets for my wallet/phone/keys, but also has the vented sides and a safety harness in it, so I can bring Billi to more places without it being obvious that there's a dog in my purse. Up until recently, I've been carrying Billi in my own actual purse, but she's outgrowing it, so it's not very comfortable for her and not totally safe since she could jump out of it, plus hello... everyone can see I'm carrying a dog right out in the open, which if I needed to quickly sneak her in & out of somewhere, doesn't really help. Anyone know of any retailers/brands that might fit this criteria? Do you have a bag like this? Where'd you get it? So far I've got Mr. Faboosh to agree to a budget of around $100. Thanks in advance!! ;) |
1 Attachment(s) I love my Kwigy Bo carrier. And it has nice pockets to carry items in. I think mine was $130 but that was years ago. Lil Sis here on YT sells them. I would contact her for prices. You might find a used one for a good price. I have carried Rosie in her KB to our mall where pets are not allowed. Everyone just thought it was my purse. :D Attachment 389842 |
4 Attachment(s) I have 4 kwigy bo Alex (1 small, 3 large). ZoE outgrew the small pretty quickly, but I didn't care for it anyway, as the pockets were too tiny to be useful. If I had a tiny pup and was looking for a small size bag, I'd go with a different bag in hindsight. The large I like as the pockets are bigger & I can actually fit a wallet in a pocket, a checkbook in a pocket, etc. I have a putty (with faux snake handles), a gunmetal and a black patent croc. The putty, I love the colour, but the handles started coming apart early on. The gunmetal is nice for the times I don't want black, but the black patent croc. has held up the best. I keep that one in my car, so I always have it with me if I need to make an unplanned stop while I have ZoE with me. Here's the gunmetal, the black croc, and the putty, and then the putty with Zo hunkered down. |
Just wanted to say thank you for the Kwigy suggestions- Looking into them now!! |
Here is Lil Sis profile page if you want to talk to her. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=19209858 |

Thank you! :) |
Been looking independently for a small, black kwigy bo alexa & am seeing they're unavailable until mid-late summer. Does anyone know anything more specific? I was hoping to have a bag for Billi within a week or so. I can wait if it's not too much longer, just need to know in advance. Thanks again! |

Have you looked at Jaraden carriers? If I were looking for a bag for a smaller yorkie, that's probably what I would look at today, not KB. |

Thank you, she messaged me a little bit ago! |
I have a Jeraden, and I love it. |
Lol...no rest or the wicket! I am in Chicago visiting my human baby..and was in flight yesterday. I don't like traveling by my self...ugh! Anyway...I agree, I like the jaraden bags over kwigy Bo! I also think something I not right at kwigy Bo because their inventory is very limited. I ordered one a while back and had to cancel the order, the web site was down and very odd. I did find the sharecare and the small getaways are on sale! So I hope we can find a bag that The Mr won't be upset over! |
