Pet Gear Large/Two-Seater Car Seat 1 Attachment(s) I'm looking for this for my two girls. If anyone has one to sell, please let my know. :) |
Ebay has the best prices for a new one, this is the one I found, but search for more just in case you find another lower price. I purchased one for $70 which included shipping, but right after I purchased it, found another for only $65! Wish I saved it to my watch list. Pet Gear Large Booster Car Seat-Black New | eBay |
I have this seat in grey and love it. I want to get another for DH's car... |

I was securing them with short leashes tied to the metal part of the back seat belts but they would get tangled sometimes. I never leave them in the car alone because I'm afraid this will happen. I intended to shorten the leashes so they don't have enough to jump out of the car seat anyway. Minnie Mia and Saydee are usually pretty good about staying put....Rily is the wild child. :D |

I've had this seat for a couple years now and haven't had any problems.. However, my two are 7 pounds and 5, so they are similar sizes. The leashes have criss crossed, but I haven't had any issues with them choking each other. Couver occasionally falls off the seat and I have to lift him back up, but that would be solved by tying knots in the leashes to make them shorter. I like having the one seat because then I can still have people sit in the back seat with the pups strapped in. This would not be possible with two seats. |

I have no problems w/this seat either & they ride in the car w/me a lot. My car is a sports coup, so I have the seat in the front, but keep the seat of the car reclined a bit & way towards the back so it's not close to the dashboard/air bag. Mimi loves looking out the window, so she stays on the right side. Momo will go all over the car if he had his way, so I keep him close to me on the left side. The tether does get tangled on their legs if they move around a lot, but never have they almost choked ea/other. But then, Mimi is 7#'s & Momo is 5.5. Maybe bc I leave the tether on the longer side? I can see how it can be a choking hazard if the tether is short... Momo does push Mimi around, so I need to keep his leash on together w/the tether & control him that way. You do need to drive VERY carefully w/this seat. Sudden stop & they go flying since there's no barrier. They actually maneuver & move their body w/the car's opposite direction as the car is turning, it's very cute! lolll |

Also, I will mostly be using them in the back seat on DH's truck. |

I leave the tether long enough for Momo to jump down onto my lap bc he does that sometimes. If the tether is short, he'll kinda dangle & I don't want him to hurt himself even tho he's wearing a harness (Buddy Belt). Mimi's is long enough for her to look out the window. There's some pics here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...car-wides.html If you're going to have the seat in the back, I think having the tether shorter is a good idea, that way it's more secure & they can't jump off the seat. If Saydee & Minnie Mia are good in the car, then the large one would be good for both of them. |
