In dire need of a sweater or hoodie for 1.7lb yorkie pup I really need a hoodie or sweater small enough to fit my little 8 week old puppy. She goes outside to potty and it's starting to get colder outside for fall and she's in need of an xxs or xs hoodie, sweater, or even a winter coat. This winter is coming fast and she'll only be a little thing no more than 3 lbs by the end of winter i'd say. her birthday was June 20. so i'm sure she won't out grow an XS coat this year. anyone have anything they don't need, genlty used items, new items, anything. i'm looking to keep the cost under $30 for a full coat, and under $15 for sweaters and hoodies. Thanks so much |
Honestly, for her size and growing and for the price, try a sock sweater. Just cut the toe off and cut out two little holes for the front legs. I do this for my pups and they're not thrilled at first but it keeps them warm. You can do this with any kind of sock. |

I have a tiny fleece tye dye shirt and a little sweater, both gently used, but neither have hoods but they would be great for cooler weather. I would be happy to send them to you if you want them. |
Thanks Quote:
do you have any pictures of them? and what would you like to charge for them? |
I've gotten some small shirts from barkingdogclothes. She will make to size if needed, and very reasonable. |

Thanks so much!! I'll PM our address to you. |
When Myah came home, it was February in Wisconsin...she was so tiny, I couldn't find anything to fit her. I did what was suggested with socks. I went to the local Wal-Mart, found some really cute girly socks. I cut the toe open and took some thread and whip stitched the opening and cut two holes for her legs and stitched up the holes....she had tons of little sweaters. You can also use sleeves off of sweaters or sweatshirts, roll the cuff, cut holes for legs and you have a nice shirt. Myah hated/hates anything with a hood, and for her it was too bulky around her head if left off. I'll check my stash and see if anything will work for you. If so, I'll pm you for your address. Anything I send you can just have. If you don't want it, you can pass it along to someone else when they are looking.... |
The little sweaters they sell for bears at Michael's and other craft stores work well for tiny ones. You'll be surprised at how fast she grows, though, in the next few months. The general rule is to triple their weight at eight weeks. |

There is a puppy growth chart here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...rt-thread.html |
I have 9 sweaters and 1 fleece pullover that she can have. They are teddy bear sweaters and they have different things on them like snowflakes, pumpkins, valentine hearts etc. They are really cute. I used them when mine were puppies. They have just been collecting dust in my dog clothes drawer. Give me your address and I will send them out next week |
