Tray for Disposable Pee Pads? Bella is trained for use with disposable puppy pee pads. She trained easily & they work great for us. The only thing is....I would Love to find a tray that works with putting the pads inside. Does anyone know of these type trays being sold? Maybe you have other ingenious ideas? I had thought of putting a washable pad underneath, but really like the idea of a tray. Would love to hear your ideas!:) |
Hi! I have the trays and I love them. Boys tend do pee on them, but then a little spray gets to the side and off sometimes. But that's better than going on the floor. We have 6 in our house but our house is 3200 sq feet and totally open with tile so that's why we have so many. We can't close off doors because the only doors we have are the bedroom and bathroom doors. My mom lives with us and her apt (mother in law suite) is 1100 sq feet. She has two in her area, and could probably use another one. They are about $25.00 at PetSmart here in Abilene, Texas. You can get them on sale for about $21 or $22. So we would just get one at a time when we went to the store since they are so high. And I clean them in the shower with some shampoo and a rag and let them drip dry. If you have any more questions, let me know. |
I use washable potty pads underneath the disposable ones and it works great! I got them from Nancy (Little Bit) here on YT. I asked Nancy to make them bigger than the disposable pads I use. Mocha sometimes goes off the edge of the pad, so the washable pads underneath help with that problem. Plus, it provides extra protection for the floors. I personally prefer it over a tray, as Mocha could still go off the edge of the pad/tray and I would have to clean up the floor. |
Oh, and I also find them easier to wash than the trays. |
You might want to try a doggie litter box. I have a plastic one by Purina called Second Nature Dog Litter Pan. I use plain newsprint in mine but the pee pads would also work in there. |

You do not want hardwood floors! If the wood gets wet, it is ruined....turns dark! I have them and am in the middle of replacing them. I am going all tile. Probably going to use porcelain as it is less porous than ceramic. |

i had bought the tray at Petsmart....it work great but i just but the UGODOG and i now put newspaper under the grates...which i like better so they don't so happen to step on their mess and its much cleaner since Kioko and MeiLing tend to shred the pee pads... here is the link to the ugodog...i bought 2 so it was free shipping...i think if you spend over 60 its free shipping..but this was the cheapest i found...hehe Dog Litter Box | UGODOG® | Indoor Dog Litter Box - MOST POPULAR and here is the link to the one i bought from Petsmart...hehe Premium Pad Training Tray - Training Pads - New Puppy Center - PetSmart |

mine are trained to go outside or at least i am trying to...but the other day it was raining and i laid down the UGODOG with a peepad inside...and they went straight to it...even the little maltese puppy... btw if that does work you could take off the grate...and just lay the peepad down... and when i am not home i leave then in the laundry room gated off from the rest of the house with the 2 ugodog in there...hehe see video.. |
