HELP!!! Need ballerina costume ASAP!! I wanted Bella to be a ballerina for her first halloween (my "pet" name for her is "My little Bella-rina"). I got a pattern to make her a tutu and she was going to wear her tiara/crown crystal clip, but making it turned into a disaster!!!! :( Why, WHY, can I make cute dresses, cheerleader box pleat dress, dog beds, toys, etc... but I can't make a stinking tutu??? I'm so sad! She's scheduled to have her picture taken Oct. 10th, and I was planning to have her in her costume (as well as other dresses, etc...)! Is there anyone who can help me?? Pretty please, with sugar on top!!! :D I just want a pink tutu that's all puffy and sticks out, though I wouldn't be opposed to it being attached to a "leotard" (top :) ). I even checked online, but apparently they don't sell just a plain old pink tutu. |
i wonder if this might work for bella -- Baby's First Tutu Tutus, Handmade Tutus, Handmade in USA, Baby Tutus, Toddler Tutus, Children's Tutus, Girls Tutus, Ballet Tutus, Boutique Tutus, Custom Tutus, Dance Leotards, Fairy Wings, Ballet Slippers, Ballerina Slippers, Boutique Hairbows, Baby they make tutus for infants :) i really like the rose details. probably not too hard to modify if nec? good luck! |

This was the only one I saw one their site but I think they may have more options if you try the store. |
I just found one on ebay that's $10 plus $3 shipping...custom made, I pick the colors. I emailed the seller to see if she can make it smaller than she had listed....fingers crossed!! Thanks for your ideas! The baby tutu is ADORABLE, I'm definitely going that route if this doesn't work out. And I'll definitely check at Petsmart this weekend too (we only have a Petco in my town, but I'm going to a bigger city this weekend that does have a Petsmart)....I'll check online too. THANKS!! |
1 Attachment(s) I know how to make a tutu, i could never make you one in time by october 10, but I just wanted to ask if you needed some advice? It's definately not hard to make the fluffy style tutu, if you still want to make it yourself, just let me know what you're having a problem with and i'd be happy to try and help you. i just made this one for christmas/new year's |

That snowflake dress is absolutely gorgeous!!! OMG! I love it! I'm going to attempt a tutu again, probably as part of a dress--I made a dress a couple of weeks ago with a tutu underneath, and it turned out really cute. For her Halloween costume, I wanted a tutu all by itself so I got a pattern (I wanted it to go all the way around and not just down the sides, if that makes sense). I really think it was just the pattern that was screwy--I've been thinking about what went wrong, and I think I have an idea of what I need to do differently. I just didn't want to chance screwing up AGAIN this close to when I need it!! Thanks for your offer of help/advice....I may take you up on it if the next one I try in a few weeks doesn't turn out. I'll post her pictures when I get them back too so you can see it! I'm soooo excited! |
