Looking For Some Cheap Belly Bands UGH!!!! My 6 year old Yorkie has decided that since moving he is going to start hiking his leg and peeing wherever he wants. This includes my nice new furniture. The house that we moved into is a new home and he is stressing me out by doing this! He has no health issues causing this and he is neutered. He seems to do it only when he has an audience...loves to come into the living room and stare at me while is he raising his leg on my nice new chaise. Harley is actually my husband's dog and even my hubby is at his wits-end with him. :( I would like to see who I can buy a couple of belly bands from. I hope that I can find someone that is not intimidated by his size. LOL!! :D Harley is a purebred Yorkie, but he is GIGANTIC....20lbs.! Thanks in advance~ Tammy |
I can only think of two YT members at the minute who make and sell belly bands... I'm sure there are others but these are just off the top of my head. One is Linda (FuFuFashions) and her site is http://www.fufufashions.com/ The other is Kim (Litlbitranch) and her site is http://www.PuppyWraps.com I believe. Hopefully one of these two will have a fabric you like and they can help you. :D |
If you need something right away you can buy human baby diapers and wrap it around him, it works good too just not as nice looking. |
I got mine from Kim @ puppywraps.com (lilbitranch). I've ordered from her twice. She is fast and reasonably priced! I love them, they come in really handy when I take the boys to my mom's house. For some reason, my guys hike all over her house. |
For a quick fix, you can buy some scrap strips and get the self sticking velcro, cut it to the length needed, and use those as belly bands. Velcro some absorbant material to the outer layer, and then velcro it to fit your puppy. It's not fancy, but works in a pinch. |
That's a great idea Tbell!! |
you can also learn from www.markout.com that is what I used before joining Yt. worked like a charm if you follow their directions. pooh's mum |
Ace bandages! They are really cheap, and you just buy the velcro ones and cut them to fit. Now, do not laugh.....here is what you need to do. You need to have a serious talk with your yorkie! I'm totally serious here. I swear this works. Take your yorkie in your lap, make eye contact and tell him "this is our new home. You can not potty in the house here. I won't stand for it, you must be a good boy and potty outside" Yes, it sounds crazy, but I am telling you....it works! Try it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! |
