How to figure shipping? I'm cleaning out closets and doggie things and would like to know how you figure out what shipping will be. Can someone tell me how to figure shipping? |
It hink it is easy if you have a zipcode from what I am told. |
I bought a little scale from Ebay and it goes up to 25 lbs. then I get the zip code of the person, like that you don't end up loosing money for shipping. |
go to www.usps.com (or ups, etc.) and they have a postage calculator. You must have a postal scale so you can put in the weight of the package. You need a zip code of where you are sending it. If you read the rules for packages, envelopes, etc. it will give you an understanding of what category to put it in and it will figure out the cost for you. Hope this helps. |
Thank you all so much... I've just have seen where some who sell say the cost of the item and then the shipping or it includes shipping. I just wondered how they did that. Thank you again....the sites look really easy. |
I know I just estimated shipping for each item in my recent thread of "for sale" items, and it really came back to bite me! I underestimated shipping for everything so far, so I really recommend taking these smart people's advice and calculating it via the postal service first! Shipping is getting so pricey these days! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86213 |
