Car Seats Needed ASAP!
 
Jim and I are taking the babies on a road trip in June and I need to get them car seats ASAP!! I want the dogs to get use to riding in them. Here is the car seat that I want:

Lookout Car Seat

I want 2 of these, one in BLACK for Codie and one is HOT PINK for the girls. I also want to get them monogrammed. I want the BLACK one to say "Codie" on the front and I want the HOT PINK one to say "Tia and Cali" on the front. I can't find any place that monograms. Help!! :(

Maybe I should just get 1 car seat instead of 2. I just though it would benice for Codie to get some alone time so that he can sleep. If I do get one car seat, I'd probably get this one:

I have two of those, one is actually a little oversized maybe 4-6" wider than the other. I got them both from the clearance section of J-B Wholesale Pets but they are both black. The covers come off so maybe you could just take the covers off & take them to a monogram shop & have their names embroidered in pink or blue. Good luck:)

Yeah. My friend has one with the drawer and she said she never uses it. Plus, I have this (one in pink for the girls and one in blue for Codie) form Pet Edge:

Ooh, that's the one I'm thinking of getting! I currently have the small one but Hoku hogs all the room and poor little Kalani is squished in a corner. I thought about getting 2 small ones but they are such cuddlers that I'm afraid they'll strangle themselves trying to get to each other. I just have to measure my backseat seatbelt, it has to be 44" long to accomodate the My Buddy.

What about looking for someone in your area that monograms? Those covers come off easily.

Hey you know what, if I order the My Buddy car seat (which will fit all 3 of them), they do monogramming for only $9! So that would work out perfect! I want the car seat in Hot Pink (sorry Codie lolol). :p

Actually Shana, I think I want the My Buddy car seat now (instead of getting 2 separate car seats). Jim thinks all 3 dogs should be together to cuddle and sleep but I think Codie needs his own space away from the girls. They drive him crazy lolol :p

Could you get the My Buddy car seat instead? I want it in hot pink and I want the monogramming to look like this:

and Cali

Do you know that you can get seat belt extenders (Mine were free) from the dealership parts department for your brand car? Works great for stuff like that.

Thanks, my car is brand new and has r-e-a-l-l-y long seatbelts in the back. I just went out and measured them and was totally surprised. Must be something they're building into the newer cars:)

No problem, I thik the my buddy is definetly the way to go.

I just took those carseats off the website becasue they were backordered for awhile and then I forgot to put them back on the website. I

Does the My Buddy has the pull-out tray? I really didn't want it but if that's the only way it comes, then I will take it. Also, can I order 1 extra leash hook? It only comes with 2 and I need 3.

If the covers are removable, take them off and send them to www.pocomutt.com and Sonja (Mitzis Mom) can probably embroider them with whatever you want ....

Yes I can order you an extra leash hook and yes it does come with the tray but that is the only way the "my buddy" comes.

Sebastian has never been in the car without it. It hooks to seat belt and has a loop/clip that clips to his harness (remember tiny dogs should always use a harness - not a collar). We purchased, and monogramming is available from Solutions catalog (www.solutions.com) but I notice that my favorite small dog online store also has them with monogram - G. W. Little(www.gwlittle.com). Good luck on the road trip - I see lots of replies about other seats - but we love the Lookout. You can, however, get the larger model made for two dogs if you wish - or two seats to keep them separated.
