Looking for a leash Hi, I'm looking for a leash to where you can walk two dogs at one time without having two separate leashes, if that makes sense. I seen one on a show one time and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get one. I'v tried all my pet stores in the area and they do not carry them. Maybe, a dog show??? I may go to one this weekend, but I'm not sure if I will make it there. Thanks for all replies in advance :D |

I agree that you should easily be able to find that type of leash at petsmart or petco. |
Here ya go. By the way, they are called a dog coupler. Petsmart: http://www.petsmart.com/global/searc...ch_results.jsp Petedge: http://www.petedge.com/shopping/brow...eyword=coupler I have one from Petsmart. It was kind of hard to find it on the shelf. It was not in any packaging, just hanging behind some long leashes. Hope this helps! Missy |
The first on that I bought was long like that picture and they were everywhere, including wrapping me up too. I then bought one that quite a bit smaller and they can't get but just a few inches from each other. Much better. |

1 Attachment(s) They are called couplers.... I make a Take2 or Take3 coupler out of Dupioni silk that matches the leashes and harnesses I make -- see picture. The price for the Take2 coupler is $7.50. With my coupler, each link is adjustable from 18" down to almost 9". I don't have a website yet (still working on it :D) -- if you are interested please pm me |
The most affordable I can find is at Pet Edge: http://www.petedge.com/jump.jsp?item...DEX&itemID=620 |
Okay, great Thank you guys, now I need to find out which size is best. What sizes do you guys find more convienent to have?? There is a 4 x 1/2, then there is a 12 x 3/4 (which I was leaning more towards), but do you guys think that is too long? I just want an easy one to where they will not get tangled and is convienent for both me and the dogs. I think if I get the shorter one they will be too close together, then I think if I get the longer one they will get tangled... First I couldn't find one now there's too many options  lol. The measurements for the sizes I'm refering to are from petedge.com |

I wasn't sure if you are familiar with Petedge, so I thought I would post this info: Small Order Processing Fee In order to maintain our low, wholesale prices, there is a $6.99 processing fee for domestic orders under $60. For international orders, there is a $14.99 processing fee for orders under $150 and a fee of $7.99 for order values between $150 - $499. For international orders over $500, there is no fee. This charge is in addition to the shipping cost. Missy |
I got one from Chattiesmom and it is really nice. I haven't been able to walk the girls due to bad weather but I know once they get used to it it will be great since I need to walk 3 dogs. |

Thank you Missy, this is so weird because I seen that and I was just coming on here to ask that question, if the processing fee was in addition to the shipping fee, so thanks. |
Pet Edge That's the problem with Pet Edge. They have great prices, but unless you are ordering a lot or go in with someone else those extra charges plus shipping will kill ya. I have bought from there and they have good stuff, but for just one or two things I look elsewhere. |
i think the couplers is a good idea !! :D |
ChattiesMom - coupler question Quote:
ChattiesMom, does your coupler have a swivel, by chance, where the dogs can go under/over each other w/o getting tangled? I think I saw one of those somewhere and was thinking that would be good to have. Thanks for your help! I may end up buying one from you, but wanted to check on that first. Thanks! |
The snaps on the end of each coupler link have swivels. |
