Hello Everyone......Just wanted to invite all the YTers to my new online store www.creationsbychristinaonline.com :) the site was suppose to be open earlier but I guess thats life :rolleyes: I make the tie blankets for our furbabies, the good thing about my site is that most if not all of my blankets are PRE-MADE so you don't have to wait :yay_jump:.........on each of my prints I have no more than 4 (if that) so if you are interested in a print hop on it ;)

They are super adorable!

One question though.........is it possible for you to use flat rate shipping? You could fit a few blankys in a free priority flate rate shipping box and save the buyer $ ;)

For a single blankey you could ship them in an envelope?

Just throwing suggestions out there. :)

Thanks I'm all up for suggestions :) Right now I am charging 5.00 shipping for one blanket thats because the box I ship it in is $1.79 (ok well lets say 2.00 with tax)....then 3.00 to ship it off (right there I may be loosing money with 3.00 because it may be more plus all orders have delivery confirmation on them which is .60 (I believe) so thats how I bundled it all up at 5.00 (which I could charge more) but give me more information on your idea I would love to save YTers money on shipping but not sure if I can see how it can go below 5.00 but if so lemme know girl! :)

P.S. I was trying to fit ARCHIE's blanket in one of them gold large size envelopes and girl that was definetly NO LUCK! (LOL) it was all bulky and it looked VERY TACKY (LOL)......maybe I can see if there are LARGER envelopes but I still have to buy them :confused: which is the same with the box.....but didn't you mention something about a FREE box?? How much is the flat rate on them free boxes you mentioned?

Okay, I have about 12 of these blankets. All from YT sellers. The one's I have bought multiples from ship in a flat rate box. You get it free at the post office and you they charge a flat rate fee no matter the weight. ;)

A small is like 4 something and you could fit a couple of your blanky's. I know the next size up is 6.04 here and you fit quite a lot :)

Just throwing suggestions on saving you and the consumer $$. This way, the person could be more apt to buy more than 1. 5 bucks for 1 blanky is steep to be quite honest.........not to mention 10 dollars for 3.

I hope I don't sound cheap or bad.........I do virtually all my shopping online and shipping is a killer. :)

No No girl you didn't sound bad....but did you read my reason why I was charging the way I was??

Go to your post office and pick some up. You can roll the blankys and put a rubber band (like a rolled taco). :)

See how many you can fit in each size and then price accordingly. You can add a handling fee because it does take your time and gas money to ship......:thumbup:

I agree with Jesse. I know when I shop I look at shipping.
Maybe you could get white postal paper and tape and wrap them in that. That might save some money on the boxes or envelopes.

No problem! It will make a difference! You can offer delivery confirmation to the people to for 60 cents ;)

You can also order boxes at usps.com for free because sometimes the post office doesn't have the sizes that you need. USPS also ships the case to you for free--then you don't have to actually purchase boxes. Also-if people pay you using paypal, you can print a shipping label to tape to your box and then delivery confirmation is no charge--you just need a scale to weigh your package. If they don't use paypal, you can create a label on usps.com, print the label and delivery confirmation is also free.

You are charged for the cost of shipping only (it's connected to USPS somehow.) You just have to weigh your package and enter the info in the appropriate fields. Then you pay for the cost of the shipping from your paypal account and print the label. Paypal does not charge you a fee either.

You can also order the plain envelopes from e-bay. They have them in a variety of sizes and then you can offer the shipping cheaper and give your customers a choice of regular or priority shipping.

With shipping it would end up being 35 cents a bag! That sounds like a good way to go to me. I think I will order some smaller ones.

If anyone is looking for a special material I am running by the fabic house on my next day off which is Sunday because of 2 special orders I got in today.....if you are looking for anything in particular let me know....Army, Marines, Sports, ect I can pick it all up on Sunday and you can also save on the Grand Opening 10% off until next Tuesday :) (but I'm not sure if I am going to be able to run by the fabic house again after Sunday on special orders to receive that discount!)
