velcro Were does everyone her but their velcro? I have been buying the 2 inch at walmart for like 4 bucks for a yard!!! I need to find a good deal. |
I cannot imagine how outrageously expensive this notion is. I just about died when I found out. I have the 1", 2" and 4" in white and black and I get all of them in the Phils . . . and you would not believe how much! |
did u try ebay? |
I haven't found 2 inch on ebay. Des, I have tried ordering things from over there and the shipping is way tooo much, makes up for the low cost and then some. |
Velcro is expensive....I don't know why...I bought some at Wal-Mart in a box. I think it's 2" wide and not sticky...I think I got a yard to and paid $4.00 for it too! |
I got the sticky ones from the Dollar Store not knowing there is the sticky and non-sticky type and it is a real pain to hand sew them. |
I buy the 2 inch in bulk from Joanns when it is on sale for 50% off. Joanns sells it in the smaller packages.....but they also sell it by the roll and I wait for that to go on sale and buy up the role for half price!! I also know that Joanns online store sells velcro at prices cheaper than the stores most of the time....but I have not priced the 2 inch online. |
I buy it at Hancock in bulk, it is expensive, but you don't need very much of it per garment. Watching for the sales is a good idea, or use Joann's 40% off coupons. |

I use snaps, for one it's so much cheaper and 2 it dont get caught in the hair like the velcro does. I know the snaps are a pain to sew on, but I sew them on as I'm watching a movie, going on a trip, or even at the doc office while waiting. |
I have seen it here at Joann's in a big roll in a box, but it has a per yard price on it.I will ask next time. Thanks everyone. Quote:

For Veterans Day weekend, JOann's has a 40% on all regular items and an additional 10% on regular or sales priced items on your total order. I highly suggest you take advantage of this promo on your velcro. |
I found some for 80 cents a yard it,per 50 yard rolls.With shipping it would be 47.50.That seems like a better deal,right? Since I'm currently paying 4.00 for 1 yard. |
That sounds like a GREAT deal! Good detective work, Shadow. |
I went to Joann's today and they said you need a coupon for that sale, and I don't get the flyers. Quote:

Michaels arts and Crafts. And just for everyones 411....If you don't get a Michaels flyer Just ask the cashier if you can fill out the exception log. By doing that they must find the most expensive non sale item out of your purchase and put the discount towards it All that entales is signing your name and zipcode. Michaels will be having coupons out from now until christmas. After christmas it goes back to one every other week. The coupons are usually 40% off. Oh and they also take competitors as long as they are not off the computer (like the ones you get via email or anything). I hope this helps. |
